Thats something interesting bro Ura. U have a very good memory of all the fights. I think its not so bad being a veteran in our current group of fs lovers. well, at least you, I think is the truly undefeated champions of all because I hardly see your fs losing any match. I like the match between Lin vs foxy. what do you feed your fs? any techniques/training that makes his winning will so strong? I think the owner channel some of his will to his fs

Its really the sheer will I admire in all your fs.
Do share your secret if you are willing. you seem to outgun a champ whenever there is one since the beginning of your existance in this forum. thats some record to break man

.
the small fighters reminds me of siao kia chopster, cant win the battle but he has got will..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujp_XZ7mU4c - I caught so many long arms when I first got back..thought its a norm but unfortunately its not...
p/s : how is your sling doing? im pretty excited to see the full grown. Btw welcome bro sofian. this is truly an amazing forum..you get to fight ur fs, meet up, hunt and learn from our lads & experience codgers, no offence to anyone k
cheers,
Jason
Hi Bro Jason,
Your
SiaoKia Chopster though lost its both arms and still dared to give
LoneRanger2 a fight,
this is really something i hardly got a chance to see, Bravo for him!
Talking about
Lin. To be frank, i didnt do anything special on him.
Lin is supposed to be 1 kind of the Family of Fighter's Breed/Category FSes which consists of many kinds i think. This kind of FS can sometimes win a much bigger FS with their Strong Winning Will. This may even be able to see thru the way he posed himself in photos. As i always likes to take lots of photos for my FSes, months ago i have also started to post in a
HK FS FaceBook Page created by our HK FS Counterpart Bro Xarms. I have a friend there who is Freddie, he saved some of the photos there including mine and uploaded in a Spider Photos album in his account and a friend of his actually remarked on
Lin when he saw the picture:
English Translation: This One got Strong Fighting Will.
*This friend of Freddie has not watched any of
Lin's Fights before he commented this.
When first caught him without putting him on the fighting platform i have somehow
predicted he might be a Fighter FS based on its Exotic Dark Golden Color on its Body.
But Colors can be sometimes deceiving too for judging a FS. I should say, it is more accurate to pre-judge a FS's Fighting Ability thru the way he do its Stancing. Notice in his 2 Fights with
Foxy, he will go from right to left, then left to right quite a few times before he commences the fight. This kind of Stancing so far i have only seen it in him and
Rindaman(though a funnier version

).
Other Unique Stancings which i have seen include Bro Ricky's
T-Rex and Bro Edwin's
Transformer.
Both FSes were the Fighter's Category FS that hardly lose a Match during their Prime.
These are a Sample Video of each to review their Unique Stancing:
T-Rex: Gostun with Stiff and Heavy Motions on the 2 Arms
Ura's Yagami(bottom) vs Ricky's T-Rex(top) - 220411Transformer: Arms Waving like Approaching a Female
Fighting Spiders: TFM vs Ah Seng's Newly Caught (TFM won) Reminder:
FS of the Fighter's Breed are not trainable or teachable thru any form of training. It is believed that this Special Fighting Skills is passed down genetically from the previous generations. That's why we only see it in certain spots and almost never in another. A very Good Example is our Past NTU, which produced numerous batches of Superb Fighters. And some spots are just known to produce more Normal-Standard Fighters or even Ice-Cream Fighters for some other spots. This is really the Spot Factor although there will be still some exceptional cases. Thus, even today we managed to discover a 2nd NTU, with non-stop hunting activities from Various Kakis, i would say this Fighter's Gene Line will also be Discontinued one day. Cos the Males caught back are given lesser or even no chance to mate with the Females in the Wild. A Good Practice i suggest is that to try mate the Male in captivity with some Females, and release the Pregnant Females back to the spot.

Why Rainy Season creates Bigger Sized FS..?Some Kakis always like to tell me "Rain will bring Bigger FS" or some said "Giants will show after Rain".
But why? What's the reason? I would like to find out WHY, not just saying it without any sense of understanding the Truth behind..
Before that let us first, understand this very Important Aspect in a Spider Growth Journey.
Which in my opinion, highly influences the Size a FS can grow to.
Spider Moulting
Like people, spiders move by contracting muscles attached to a skeleton. But instead of an internal skeleton covered in flesh, spiders have an exoskeleton -- a stiff support structure on the outside of the body. Exoskeleton segments are connected together with joints so the spider can move them back and forth.
Muscles attached on the inside of the exoskeleton contract to move the legs inward, but spiders don't have any muscles to extend the legs back out again. Instead, they have to force bodily fluids (mainly blood) into the legs to push them outward. If a spider loses too much body water, it can't generate the necessary hydraulic pressure to push its legs out. This is why you sometimes see spiders on their backs with their legs curled up.
The exoskeleton is made of several layers of cuticle, a composite material containing various proteins and chitin, a long-chain polysaccharide (sugar). The chitin and protein molecules are arranged in long chains, in successive layers, like the grain in plywood.
This structure makes cuticle extremely strong, as well as highly effective at keeping the spider from drying out, but the material does have one serious drawback. While it's flexible enough for movement, it can't expand like human bones and tissue -- in other words, it can't grow. In order to increase its size, the spider has to form a new, larger cuticle exoskeleton and shed its old one (this is called moulting).
Moulting occurs frequently when a spider is young, and some spiders may continue to moult throughout their life. At the appropriate time, hormones tell the spider's body to absorb some of the lower cuticle layer in the exoskeleton and begin secreting cuticle material to form the new exoskeleton. The new exoskeleton is typically folded to some extent, so it can expand once the spider sheds the older one. The spider also secretes a molting fluid between the old exoskeleton and the new one. Once the new exoskeleton is finished, the spider absorbs the moulting fluid. This creates a gap between the two exoskeletons, which makes it easier to separate them.
To shed the old exoskeleton, the spider has to bust out from the inside. It increases its heart rate to pump a lot of hemolymph (the spider's blood) from the abdomen into the cephalothorax. The pressure expands the cephalothorax, which pushes on the old exoskeleton until it cracks. The spider flexes its muscles until the old exoskeleton falls away.
Typically, the spider does most of its growing immediately after losing the old exoskeleton, while the new exoskeleton is highly flexible. The new exoskeleton is also very soft in this stage, making the spider particularly vulnerable to attack. Many species will lower themselves on a silk line during the moulting process, so they're out of reach of predators while the cuticle material hardens. Then now, on the Adverse Effects if there is too little Rain:
1) Hotter Weather:-Hotter weather triggers faster moult: This can be seen from my T.Sub Slings with Bro Xarm's T.Sub Slings he rears. A T.Sub FS generally takes around 8-9mths to reach adulthood in HK but in SG it is so much faster, even lesser than 6mths. Faster moult also means shorter period in each instar. Theoretically a Sling who is fed well with a fatter stomach will moult into a bigger size than those who are not so well-fed. But now imagine this FS which is given lesser time in between, chances is that it might not have absorbed enough nutrients from its daily intake so as to maximize its size expansion on the next moult. Hotter weather can even reduce 1-2moults from the total possible number of moults, this can be seen in my BB06, which is already a Subadult Male in his 7th Instar, meaning he has only moulted for 6times and is now already in his Penultimate Instar. In HK, a T.Sub FS will moult around 8-9times to reach adulthood. Now we know since a FS can only increase its size significantly thru moulting, a moult lesser in a FS's entire lifespan will surely affect its size expansion potential tremendously. T.Sub FS are known to expand about 1mm longer per moult. Will be lesser for T.Bha, and also lesser total number of moults.
One more reason that triggers faster moult as studied by Bro Xarms:
2) Decline of FS Population:-Too much hunting activities ongoing in a spot which caused a declining fs population will trigger the Males there to moult faster so as to reach adulthood earlier. So that they can mate with the Females earlier to produce more offsprings to solve the problem they sensed. That's why we usually only get Good Sized Males at a spot with acceptable standard of quantity. Becos the Males know the population there is not at any risk of declining and in turn they are not in a rush to grow faster to reach adulthood. Afterall any Male Spider's main objective in its life is to mate with as many Females as possible isn't it? They dun mate to fight, they only fight to mate.
3) Lesser Water Supply:-When i keep my T.Sub Slings, i have observed and studied closely when are the Sling going to moult,
what will be their behaviour then. Few days before the moult they will begin to drink more water than usual.
Theoretically, a Sling who is going to moult will drink more to store it inside its body for a greater expansion on its moult. A FS who is extremely thirsty straight away a moult is probably due to it has not drank enough before the moult. Nevertheless it is still trying to expand its body size as much as it can before the new exoskeleton actually hardens and imprisons it again. It will also aid in a smoother moult as the FS needs to increases its heart rate to pump a lot of hemolymph (the spider's blood) from the abdomen into the cephalothorax. Hence, a FS in the wild who gets to drink lesser, will again be unable to maximize its size expansion on the moult. And dun forget every moult counts, right from the day it was hatched.
4) Rain will bring Big FS down from the Top:-As a Spider's Jumping Instinct is to always aim for the highest point. I believe there are really many FSes(Small or Big) up there where we can never reach unless we bring a ladder to hunt(but in the 1st place which kaki even bothers to bring!). Rain will bring them down. The FSes up there will be coming down to find a better shelter for themselves, maybe right to the bottom of the tree. After the rain stops and out the sun, they will be sometimes loitering at the level we are scanning at.
Afterall i believe Rain is always a Crucial Factor for producing Big Males but it has to be Consistent.
At least 3-4 times a week, not just 1-2 times.
Weather like what is happening in SG now, Scorching Hot for 5-6days and some Pathetic Rainy days
for 1-2 in a week will not really help the situation. Another Crucial Factor which i believe is the Genetic Issue in FS.
Just like some Thiania Species no matter what kind of Environment/Climate they live in(suitable for them), they will always be Bigger or Smaller than the others. Eg. T.Sub and T.Cam's Size Potential will always be Greater than of T.Bha. I believe this Theory also applies within a Single Thiania Species. Both Factors work hand in hand like the Right and Left of a Railway Track. KingKongPows are probably created when both factors are in an Ideal State i suppose. And so.. that will be my Deduction of how a Big Male comes about.
Lastly, let's hope for the Real Rainy Season to come..

P/s: My T.Sub Slings are doing fine, but only left with 3 Older Batch and 2 Newer Batch. 3 Older Slings are already now in their 7th and 8th Instars. Size equivalent to our ML-sizes T.Bha at current. Will do a Full Update here again when they reach their Adulthood, probably at their 9th or 10th Instars.
