So I heard we can walk to the jetty that takes us to Redang Island from the bus station, correct?

How about coming back? Is there any cheap transport that can take us from the jetty to the airport?
*
Yes..you can walk from Kuala Terengganu Bus station to Syahbandar Jetty..its take 10 minutes only..

For return back...you can take cab to airport..the fares RM25 per cab..near bus stations.

I plan to go redang this coming July (during off peak session). I still not sure which of the following resort suit me better:

1. Redang Holiday Beach Villa
2. Redang Beach Resort (most expensive among 3)
3. Redang Reef Resort

Previosuly, I have used to stay in Redang Beach Resort (4 times), just that recently (2007), it become more and more commercial.

I was thinking of changing resort to either Redang Holiday Beach Villa or Redang Reef Resort. I am looking for something that less commercial and more relaxing. For those who been there, which one has better food serving, staff hospitallity and nicer & cleaniness room between Redang Holiday Beach Villa and Redang Reef Resort.
*
My recommend..

Redang Reef Resort...among the best choice LYN forum its because less commercial, relaxing, nice location, more privacy..good services..compare to Redang Holiday Resort have open disco until 12.00am.. sad.gif people get drunk ..

Or..Telok Kalong

1. Redang Kalong
2. Wisana Redang

but i dun want to do dat... i prefer go there n put d money....
is there anyone can help me or give me  a very good suggestion..?
*
You coming next 2 weeks to Laguna Redang Island Resort. For reservation and booking, the resort will request fully payment within 1 month before traveling date. You have to transfer the money on tomorrow but if the resort dont receive anything within that period, your booking will automatic cancel. You have to follow their system..Almost the resort will receive deposit or full payment to confirm the booking. smile.gif

Hi Samurai,

Thanks for your quick respond. Will start considering the Redang Reef Resort for my coming July trip. By the way, what's your view on Redang Beach Resort? I know that Redang Beach is more expensive than Redang Reef Resort, other than that if compare with Redang Reef Resort?
*
From my view about Redang Beach Resort..the resort are 3 star ratings after Laguna and Coral Redang. Most the accommodation facilities modern with good restaurant, massage ,life band..and offering value of money (not too pricey compare Laguna and Coral Redang) worth it to visit.Range budget around RM365 to RM425 for weekday..compare to Reef..the lowest RM300.Please avoid to visit Redang Island during Public Holiday and School Holiday..too much surcharge.. smile.gif

For other choice and quite same rates at Long Beach..

1. Redang Bay Resort

2. Redang Pelangi resort

Hi samurai,

Thanks for the help and I like the tour very much ...

The weather was superb and my skin became darker..haha...Stay at Redang Reef..not bad...I like the surrounding and the food is ala chinese cooking..The only cons is just that during snorkelling they use fisherman boat as compare with others.
*
Your are welcome Bro smile.gif ..Some snorkeling boat resort still use fisherman boat..can fit 20-40 pax per trips. For speed boat its can fit 8-12 maximum ..per trips..

ic, no fishing then..

I do agree that fins are stupid for snorkeling. You don't want to be traveling fast when snorkeling rite? plus they do quite abit of damage to the corals. Say no to fins.

Do they sell kites at the kuala besut jetty? thinking of getting one there since it's a hassle to bring mine from home (flying there). Been quite awhile since i've played with kites on the beach. Wind should be right for kite flying.

Added on April 29, 2009, 6:25 pmbtw, when i say kites, i do mean those big paper layang-layang kind.. not those plastic kiddy toy which is useless.
*
You can fishing but have to rental the boat RM500-RM700 per boat..you can find the kites at Kuala Besut but its better bring your own. smile.gif

We are 4 pax. What is the price atm? Thanks.
*
Bro..during night ,fish sleep at that time.. tongue.gif unless you going diving..(Night Dive)..There no snorkeling trips during night..everybody sleep biggrin.gif .normally rates around RM350-RM450 per person

I am looking for a twin budget travel. After some search, I don't know which one should i go for.. so I am wondering is there any personal opinion regarding resort below?

- Redang Pelangi Resort ..not all room facing to seaview.the price also reasonable
- Redang Reef Resort..all room facing to seaview, value of money, more to privacy..
- Redang Holiday Beach Villa..have open disco until 12 midnight..some room facing to sea view..

Please..give me some opinion on the resorts above, so that I can decide soon enough.

Thanks....
