Merang Suria Resort among the cheapest...if i not mistaken,the rates around RM120 to RM180 per night..just 5-10 minutes to Merang jetty..

my question might repeat by some other LYN member.
due to there are tooo many pages 111, i hope somebody can give me some comment due to my lazyness to search page by page.

basically i am planning to go for a trip next year april to lang tengah or perhentian, which one you guys recommend, and which resort is good for 4 person? budget per person including accomodation, meal, snorkelling activities about maximum RM350 - 400.

1. Which beach is the best/happening at Redang?
2. What is the best resort to stay at that beach?
3. How much is the package rate per pax offered at that resort?

I notice that all the redang-package offered is in inclusive of snorkeling trip. Do you any package that do no provide the snorkeling ?

I planing to go there at around 26 October for 2/3 days.

Perhentian Island will closed around Mid of October or End of October ....

The island will open on next year..starting from March until October...the best season to visit around May,June,July,August and September..My advise..please make reservation at least 5-6 month before you start traveling..secure the room...

Added on September 28, 2009, 6:09 pmMost of the package will include snorkeling trips as complimentary from the resort..if you dont want go the snorkeling trips..is ok..but if you take separate package boat and accommodation..its totally not worth of money..minimum room per night around RM120 and return ferry will cost you RM100.Most of meals quite pricey...because of Island.

26th October is end of season...Most of resort already closed..unless Laguna Redang Island Resort..last date is 28th October 2009..

let say i want to gung-ho my way to pulau lang tengah this 16 - 18 oct. Is it already a bad time?

Today weather in Kuala Terengganu ..fine,clear and hot...but during late afternoon and night..sometime rain about 10-20 minutes only....Sea Condition its good today..still can visit Lang Tengah Island...

How well usually is the weather in Redang during End of March / Early April? Looking for another trip there, a time where there is less people and the weather is good. Any idea?

Normally Monsoon season will finish around End Of February or Mid of March...visibility of water just 50% or 60%..Its good timing to visit Redang on End of March or Early April..less people during this period .For this reason..resort will make promotion for Early Birds..to attract more people to visit Redang from 1st March till 31st March.

Thanks alot for the tip. Would try to see around for any good deals Was hoping to be there again next year, possibly around Mid of April to avoid the Monsoon. Tried Laguna Redang this year. Is there any similar or better ones around? Budget is looking at around 400+, possibly for quad person per room package. Any good recommendation?

Just come back from Redang Island for Day trips...not too much people during this period..the weather is hot,blue sky and blue crystal water..During morning..from 9.00am to 1.00am...are advisable for snorkeling trips..still can visit Redang during this period..

wondering how you guys spend the time if the flight back 9pm+? the gap like 7hrs there..

Itinerary Day

11.00am Depart to Merang jetty

12.00pm Arrive at Merang jetty and transfer to Kuala Terengganu Town

1.30pm Arrive KT ..Lunch..sightseeing at China Town,Pasar Payang,Bazar Warisan and Bukit Putri..lepak at McDonald..have TV there..(near KT Bus Terminal).For dinner..my advise please take its before you go to airport..because at KT Airport..quite limited meals and also pricey..

6.00pm Transfer to Airport

6.30pm Arrive at airport

7.30pm Check In

9.00pm..Fly back to KL

Well, i have the same problem as well when i was there during July. When i reach the Jetty, Laguna Redang actually did arrange a bus to take us to China Town for additional RM5 (or, if you do not want to go, they will bring you to their rest house to sleep / relax there). To be honest, even if its just RM5, its not really worthy. There are practically nothing there in China Town that is worthy to go. Such a boring time when there. All i did was to walk quite far to locate the nearest McD near a bus station and sit there until time to leave, which is about 6pm.

Then, you will be brought to the KT airport and wait out the time there. As what Samurai said, try to have your dinner before going to the KT airport. Food there are expensive and not really good
