Perhentian Island will closed around Mid of October or End of October ....

The island will open on next year..starting from March until October...the best season to visit around May,June,July,August and September..My advise..please make reservation at least 5-6 month before you start traveling..secure the room...

Most of the package will include snorkeling trips as complimentary from the resort..if you dont want go the snorkeling trips..is ok..but if you take separate package boat and accommodation..its totally not worth of money..minimum room per night around RM120 and return ferry will cost you RM100.Most of meals quite pricey...because of Island.

26th October is end of season...Most of resort already closed..unless Laguna Redang Island Resort..last date is 28th October 2009..

Just got back from Lang Tengah expedition thumbup.gif The weather was nice, although my 2nd night was hit with mild wind and small rain (i suspect either redang or perhentian was hit with a heavy storm). One of the resort already closed down and one about to close end of this month.

The coral reefs there quite nice, but have to go further deep from shore (around 3m above surface)

It is just a bit sad because there was a lot of dead coral graveyards sad.gif

But nevertheless, it was a great experience for us icon_rolleyes.gif

Next stop, maybe Perhentian, planning to get a scuba license biggrin.gif

can anyone rate below islands? just want snorkeling and not diving.. and of course want a super clear water and awesome view thumbup.gif

Pulau Tioman - heard water not so nice and sand not white anymore, really?
Pulau Kapas + Gemia - "The water is indeed clear, though somewhat not comparable to that of Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian or even Pulau Lang Tengah." - Source
Pulau Rawa - quite expensive to go?
Pulau Tenggol - purely for divers only?
Pulau Lang Tengah - already went to Redang and Perhentian b4, is it worth to go here?

any of u who write blog with photos maybe can share out so i can read, thanks! notworthy.gif
