guys, after turn off the AV, had the latest driver installed, while playing C&C4 at medium setting, i still can see the lag. Is it something wrong? Pls help!

How do we check the frame rates at game?

People with A42Jv, anyone tried plugging audio jack? Can it go all the way down or just stuck out a bit? Anyone feel the volume still low even after using external speaker?

Just bought my A42jv for RM2799 - Same Price but am happy with the performance !!


HOwever i have a problem installing PES 2010, the error stated that some directx files is missing..
would it becoz of Directx installed in notebook is Directx11 ? (Whreby Nvidia GT 335M doesnt support DX11) ???

Also what is the best software to check my GPU temperature ???

For TF2 around 50. I think, but no lag at all.

Try updating your graphic card?

and use it to measure your boot time,

Install the DirectX 9 Redistributable..
to check temp, use either HWMonitor or GPU-Z....

somtimes my A42JK hang n need to restard...i5-520,4gbram...still will hang...weird la...

On my A42JV,
Currently having a problem with PES2010,
The game only detects my INTEL HD GRaphic instead of GT335M.
Have change the program setting in Nvidia Control Panel for both PES2010.exe & Setting.exe but still the same..
anyone face the same problem ?

did u update ur Nvdia to latest driver? go update it and problem will solved ~~

why when i want to play PES 2010 with Gaming Access Community Patch, this game can't detect gt335? it detects intel HD card instead..how to make it default to gt335?n where is nvidia optimus option in control panel?i can't seems to find it..

Stock clock...
L4D2 runs at everything very high/high with no AA/AF@1366x768 around 60FPS most of times, with heavy smoke and fire on first stage, down till 34FPS...
With overclock, +-10FPS to previous fps...
Need to turn off TurboBoost as there's a kind of 1ms hang frequent...

Open Nviida Control Panel
Go to "Manage 3D settings"
Choose "Program Settings"
From there Add the .exe and choose the GPU..

At what graphics settings? Relatively high?

Anyway right now using a 2008 Vaio VGN-CR35G with a low-end ATI Mobility Radeon™ X2300. All my TF2/L4D2 graphics settings are low 800x600 and usually get 20-30FPS only. Time for an upgrade.

highest. even codmw2 at highest no lag at all.
it's really a good laptop with good graphic card.
so far, the only problem about this laptop is the sound not loud enough. but i don't really care because i can use headphones.

Cool! If it can play MW2 at highest settings, should be pretty good. I use earphones too so speakers loudness isn't an issue for me either.

Now just need to find the place where I can get a good deal. The Asus Shop at MidValley selling for 2899.

Guys, what's the battery life like on the A42Jv?

don't get it there! very cut throat in terms of pricing imo. get in low yat or digital mall or even online sellers at lyn.
i'm sure you'll get better deals if you look around these places. good luck! oh and i reckon you should upgrade to 4gb ram.
