Hey guys, how much is the Asus A42Jv now?

When you buy the basic asus a42jv, rm2899+- what can I upgrade on? How much would it cost? Is it recommended to upgrade it?

Hey guys, I'm most probably getting my Asus A42Jv tomorrow.
So I heard some of you reformats your laptop or remove some programs upon receiving the laptops.
Don't know how it will help improve the laptop. Heh anyone can explain? And which program should I remove?

I checked with the dealer. He says Microsoft office 2010 will not be included. If I were to purchase it, how much would it cost?

I might just buy the original and share it with family and friends.

not sure whether my is using the nvidia 335M gcard
but when i play cod mw2, it's kind of laggy, and when the screen gets all bloody. my cod hang.
anyone facing this problem?

i just bought the laptop yesterday. so how do i check if it's updated?

What do you mean by turning off the AV? I tried in 1280x780 if not mistaken. Jerk here and there, not very obvious but me as a player can feel it.

I haven't tried it yet since I have not touched me laptop since this morning. I'll post here when I try it.

Guys, I'm downloading the Nvidia Geforce GT335M latest update now.
I've also ran 'Can you run it' on my laptop, and yes, my g-card isn't up to date.
Will post an update once I've completed the installation!

Btw, to check my fps, do I just download Fraps and let it run while playing mw2?

My fps is 30, on max settings.

Pretty damn smooth.
I just updated my Nvidia driver, should I update my Intel HD Graphic card driver as well?

yours lag?
try right click your desktop and click on nvidia control panel
then go help > system information. tell us your driver version

how did you install it? did you uninstall the previous version then restart then install it? or did you overwrite it?
don't know whether this will affect it

Agree, for important drivers like your graphic card.
Cant just simply overwrite it.
Tell us your fps for cod after!

HELP!
I uninstalled my Intel HD Graphic and a black screen popped up, nothing happened so I manually restarted my laptop.
Then I tried installing the update I downloaded for the Intel HD Graphic but I can't. Now, both my graphic cards aren't working apparently.

I went to device manager and updated it there. haha it worked. panic a bit just now ahaha
