hey peeps,
i'd like to ask where can I get the cheapest D90 (brand new) around PJ & KL?
Heard that Amcorp Mall is kinda cheap but haven't check the price yet.
The cheapest so far that I found is at Curve, RM3300
*
RM3300 is a good price, I never see any d90 kit below 3300 at the moment... Maybe penang yes.

i'm using sigma 18-200mm OS lens..last time on D40 dont have any issue, picture are very sharp. Now always out of focus. I have try single focus,3d tracking and dinamic focus but still same problem..

after upload the picture to pc, i was  blink.gif  rclxub.gif
*
D90 has 11 AF points, set it to single point and use the directional buttons to move the point to the one you want to focus, then focus and shoot, should have no problem at all.

Or, maybe you were trying to shoot in almost pitch black condition without AF assist light. The lens will be hunting.

Or it's the lens problem, maybe it tends to hunt when focusing and you captured before it's completely focused; or the lens have back/front focusing issue. Best way to solve is to try everything 1st, if all fails, go calibrate your lens, and if still doesn't work, go nikon centre calibrate d90.

Hurm. Guess if I get the 17-50 f2.8, I won't be needing the 35mm for now at least. I think I'll go for it smile.gif

Any problem with the non-vc model? hmm.gif
*
The best tammy 17-50 is the motorless NON-VC version (screw type), focus the faster with D90. But QC i heard is bad.
The 2nd best is VC version with motor, which is the latest version.
Many say that the worst version is the NON-VC with motor.

Most shops out there are selling the VC with motor, the motorless is phased out of production but maybe u can find cheap 2nd hand.

Very different from the previous LR2.7 biggrin.gif, worth using now  rclxm9.gif .
*
LR3.0 is official release now or beta version? Free to use or need $$/captain jack?
I'm still on the old v2.3... >.<

Use bokeh wisely and you can get stunning results =D
If the background is nice and not distracting but you use 200mm F2, can't see shit of the background... haha =D

ooh...better..okok:)..sorry ya  icon_rolleyes.gif
erh.....are u referring to 50mm @ f/2.8 and tammy 50mm @ f/2.8?
i may have an old school perception but i prefer primes over zooms because
1) sharpness
2) max aperture
3) size
4) price
5) BOKEH!!!!
6) Distortion

but some recent zooms are as good as the OLDER primes..but then....u pay a premium lo !! smile.gifsmile.gif....
join me in prime lenses! HEHE

The food not really nice, especially the restaurant located at the top (highest). their drinks sucks and expensive (as usual). Gasoline is so-so but not too bad.

True true but it's the best landscape night photography to get around KL. Well, unless there's more, please enlighten me on this one  brows.gif
*
Don't go there too late at night, if after 11.30 or 12 the lights some switched off, what you can capture is just a view with all yellow dots. best is around 6~10pm

And if you have enough money to get D90, r u sure you have extra money to fund on those lenses without motor? Like me i'm still with d90 kit, no extra lens yet =X

D5000 to D90 is a parallel upgrade to me, I would suggest a D300S or D700 if you have the money, if not, stick with d5000 and upgrade lenses/flash better!

Not bad for a "newbie" in motorsports photography XD

If you can crop the 1st photo tighter it'll be good =D
