WiMax, Digi / Maxis / Celcom / izzi broadband - Your days are being numbered!!! Potong? Potong wat now hah!! heheheh!! - just playing yah. Don't faint ah.

OK! to make this post legit. I just subscribed to the VIP20 package. They told me that I will need to wait 3 weeks before the service ppl/installer to call me for appointment. I live in Jalan Duta. Does it really take thaaaaaat long to process this thing?

Very satisfied, but the cap policy to be enforced later is still doubtful whether this will remain so doh.gif

I only had to wait 3 days for them to call me and set an appointment , and another 3 days for the agreed appointment date. All in all, it only took me a week to have my VIP20 installed. Your situation looks grim, though. Might even take a month before you get it. sweat.gif

Yes. Buy new hard drives. your gonna need the capacity brows.gif

Oh and buy a new router if you don't already have one. The DIR-615 they give you is junk. Follow Rivzan's guide to use your own router. I am using the ESR-9850 i ordered from hongkong, only cost me RM280 and the performance is great for that price nod.gif

What do you use to monitor the bandwith? Can it monitor the whole thing or just from 1 computer? ie if you have desktop and notebook can you know the household usage rather than computer by computer?

My appointment to install in 2 days...

What program did you used to monitor the bandwidth?

How about DIR-655? Sure can be used right?

BTW, how long does it take for cabling fibre optics in an area? I can see the cables hanging on the telephone poles yet there are no those white boxes yet. In Unifi website, TM mentioned my area only available in Q4.

Nice, but ESR7750 is crazier.

Edited: Did you completly replaced the router or do a bridge-mode from DIR-615?

My setup is like this

Fiberhome modem > dir-615 (configured using Rivzan's guide so it only does vlan tagging) > esr-9850 (this does dhcp, wireless and the routing).

My ftth install only took like 4 hour only :/ 10am to 2pm.

I am using DU Meter to monitor my bandwidth. It only records for this one machine only.

To better monitor, you would need a custom firmware router which has bandwidth monitoring such as Tomato firmware or DD-WRT.

@azzrul: What do you mean ?
