I wonder we can too online by plugging the broadband dongle on to the USB On The Go. Just let's say for those who have unlimited 3G broadband USB dongle instead of the 3G broadband for phone la.

amoled amoled~nokia finally comes with amoled for their touch screen!amoled+capacitive=perfect match for screen.omnia hd attracted me by this.now turns to N8.

May I know when they say Multi-touch, what does it mean ah? How is it any different from the Iphone eh?

but it'll turn black under direct sunlight ain't it? just like my n86. haihz. can only see the sun's reflection.

avoid the sun...since in malaysia u tend to do that also..
not to say cant see la, just that it looks bad....


multi touch means it will be able to detect more then 1 finger input at a time. You could say it's the same as the iphone, and multitouch can enable some of the finger gesture commands like pinch and zoom, two finger scrolling, and also, when u play games on ur phone also, like racing game, u can finally steer ur car and brake at the same time..lol...

i edi answer here la....if you must know, both are capacitive, which require a simple touch without applying pressure, so there are no difference in the touch, there might be some different in the multitouch gesture, maybe some don have some of the gesture commands only, that's all

Depending on which type of phone. Some phone uses different type of TFT that may result in poorer visibility in direct sunlight compared to the AMOLED.

They said its Q3 , Don't think they'll release it in July.

Many thanks to you BBXiong by defining what Multi touch is all about. I guess, with their current N97, it wasn't multi touch at all then huh. Hopefully, the upcoming Nokia N8 is not pressure touch. If not, the touch screen will not be as lightweighted as Iphone.

The Nokia n8 uses the Capacitive touch screen which means that you won't need to press it with pressure .
However , Resistive touch screen does need some pressure in order to register each touches.

yes, there are good and bad about capacitive vs resistive:

capacitive screen can support multi-touch, and as said, no need pressure, just use finger can already, however, it is limited to certain materials only, like skin, which is why finger only, unlike resistive touch screen, u cannot use ur finger nail to poke the screen, which in some cases, you might need the precision u get. It's being argued about which is better then which..but in fact, it still depends on situation...if it doesnt have hardware keyboard for input, better use capacitive..or else i guess resistive would do

if +camera lens cover it would be perfect.
