This phone just got me hooked the whole day today!!! OMG!!!
Their specs look bloody awesome this time. This reminds me during the launching time for both N70 & N95. Watching their ads is like having orgasm.... Hahahah!!!

I was actually aiming N97 kao kao one... but then it never happen by coming into my life after what I've seen when my friend owns it. Now that I'm still loyal to N95, I am having a slight expectation for N8 now. I don't think this will be an Iphone killer (better don't say too soon)... but this time round, it looks more convincing than the N97 tho...

Fingers cross until Q3 of this year... I'm saving saving saving. Hopefully Nokia doesn't make me change my mind into a fruitful phone ohh...

avoid the sun...since in malaysia u tend to do that also..  tongue.gif
not to say cant see la, just that it looks bad....
multi touch means it will be able to detect more then 1 finger input at a time. You could say it's the same as the iphone, and multitouch can enable some of the finger gesture commands like pinch and zoom, two finger scrolling, and also, when u play games on ur phone also, like racing game, u can finally steer ur car and brake at the same time..lol...

err...is that bad a?? before this i tot is just color totally fade away become black and white, and visibility drop to have like 40% or so...

Many thanks to you BBXiong by defining what Multi touch is all about. I guess, with their current N97, it wasn't multi touch at all then huh. Hopefully, the upcoming Nokia N8 is not pressure touch. If not, the touch screen will not be as lightweighted as Iphone.

Cheers!!!

After reading the first few pages in this thread, I still don't understand some people who still compares Smartphones to Multimedia phones and entertainment phones...
They are 3 designed differently but marketed to the same market segment.

By the way, I love the features of this phone. Too bad I'm already targeting Android or Windows Phone based phones for my future purchase. Unless of course, Symbian 3 will be able to integrate proper Google Apps support such as Gmail, Contacts and Calendar.
*
I was actually very intrigued by the Windows Phone 7 Series phone too. But it seems there's no more news towards the phone anymore. I was wondering when will this phone be out? Eventually, the specs in Windows Phone 7 looks fresh and something uniquely accomodating towards many Windows apps.

Then Nokia N8 caught hold of my attention instead. lolzzzz blink.gif

I think I wouldn't mind being a white rat this time. Well at least, my white rat result towards my current Nokia N95 haven't failed me yet. Still love using the phone a lot.

1st actually its not consider as leak maybe its call publicity? U know poison poison wek wek
2nd the photo do not specify its taken by Nokia N8 from its EXIF
3rd usually nobody will use such resolution 4000X3000. If u resize to normal size the picture will look very clear
4th the ISO taken by the photo is too low only ISO 208. Maybe it can go higher.
5th It looks like Nokia N97 homescreen user posted image

Oh, thanks for highlighting. Would this be any chance a "real" publicity instead? Hmm, by not specifying what device has been used can be a little misleading. (In other words, kinda kena tricked already [still yet to confirm la])

Is there a difference between the home screen of N97 & N8? During the promo, there is a slight similarities in it... ponder ponder.

I've not been using the latest touch phone for Nokia under their Symbian series. Will it be confusing with too many homescreens? (I noted that it will depends heavily on individual taste) however, I would like to know what's the advantage of all these excess homescreens in a phone? May I say, to store more apps? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

It all depends whether the 1st batch is really THAT faulty. However, I'm those who likes 1st Batch. My N95 still serves me well...

n95 no issue..the older products all have good QC, recent though, dunno why phones would have problems one

im first batch for N95 too..but recent 5800 and N97 first batch disappoint me very much.

This is not good. I might have to say that the QC department in Nokia is slacking already?

(Due to competitor's pressure?) <-- I might not be clear with my statement just now.

Will there be a chance, they skip QC this time round in order to out run the launching dates of all competitors phone?
