because the firmware is already out since yesterday but only able to get thru the manual way

The automatic way thru NSU and FOTA only available today at 4 to 5pm.

Then another thing to reformat the phone memory aka clean installation you need to flash the eMMC so only manual way able to format it

OTA = Migration issues it seems. I manually reflashed and even without reflashing eMMC there's no problems what so ever.

oo..just now update thru app.manager.. it's showing preparing for installation..after one minute.. it ask me to continue or detail.. then continue(of course la).. after 30 seconds.. a bar come out shows me ' please connect to USB cable via NSU for this update'.. and reminder on backup and also a BACKUP button appear only allow me to choose..
so conclusion, although there is 113MB file shown in app man let you to drip saliva but there is no way to update via appman.. so only thru NSU..but when i update thru this NSU..come on man..downloading 6.3MB from 187.9MB.. then stop for 3 minutes..a apologize bar appear to ask me attempt again.. i attempt 5 times.. no more further downloading MB..still remain 6.3MB.. i decide to quit NSU and unplug USB cable finally..
i think there is globally download that's why it's no response..

I'm using Queen BeeCon Widget.

For the CPU Frequency i'm using this http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=673080&postcount=4017 it show cpu frequency only. To chang a clock speed will do later since i'm not OC my new fw yet. Like this

For the use this code paste into QBW. Use widget type snippet. And change box saiz, font and color.

Phone Status

echo Uptime: `uptime|cut -d " " -f4-|sed 's/\, *load.*/ hours/';`
hal-device bme | awk -F"[. ]" '$5 == "is_charging" {chrg = $7}; $5 == "percentage" {perc = $7} END if (chrg == "false") {print "Battery: " perc "%"} else {print "Battery is Charging"}';
hal-device bme | grep battery.reporting | awk -F. '{print $3}' | sort | awk '$1 == "current" { current = $3}; $1== "design" {print "Battery (mAh): " current "/" $3}';

Disk Monitor

df -h| awk '/(^rootfs)|(\/home)|(\/mmc1)/{print $6;printf("%17s\n",$5 "/" $4)}'
A lot of command u can put into QBW like WAN IP, ISP Name etc. Also can look at Desktop Command Execution Widget scripts http://wiki.maemo.org/Desktop_Command_Exec..._Widget_scripts .Can be use at QBW. All on my desktop are QBW. U can add as many QBW widget on yr desktop.

p/s: I'm notice new fw using /opt and /home using the same partition.

TQ

A thing that many of us are not aware of is that Nokia is now the owner of Qt. Qt is a cross platform framework that lets developers create a single source code that can run in multiple devices and platforms. So for example, Qt enables the games that run in Maemo to be used in Symbian too. But not only that, also apps and other programs can be used across platforms. This is really convenient because developers will do more with less, for example, if an Android developer could run the same code that he/she wrote specifically for Android in another platform (let’s say a PC), then that developer would be able to create more games/apps and have a greater reach, further motivating development of new apps. Qt, by the way, is really big, Qt runs in everything from coffeemakers to advanced defense systems.One exciting thing about the Nokia N8 is that is the first device to have Qt built in. For example, Angry Birds, which is an excellent game for Maemo 6, can actually run in the Nokia N8 because of Qt, isn’t that brilliant! The advantage of having Qt on Symbian is that we will see better quality apps from now on. I mean, Symbian has just a couple of good looking apps like Gravity, but most of them, even being really useful, don’t have a great look (best example is Fring). Others do have a great look but offer little functionality or are too simple (like most Off Screen apps in the Ovi Store like Candle, Disco Ball etc…) I think that the big capacitive screen of the N8 together with Qt will bring better apps to the Symbian world, and this is very important because Symbian really needs apps. An aspect I have been enjoying on the Android Market is that there is an app practically for everything, if I need an EBay app I can find it, same with PayPal, dictionary websites and pretty much anything that could come to my mind. Here is a video that shows the game ”Bounce Evolution” which was originally in the N900, running in the N8.

Hmmm, need to check. Using modded lock screen so I wonder if the notifications will show up.

Currently having fun reinstalling stuff, though my Kyureii-Tan got stuck once in terminal when I played around in /usr/share/applications/hildon (taking care of that darned hide and seek Transmission icon, someone should take care of it within the package itself).

Rebooted and everything's fine again.

Now enjoying smoothness again + the ooomph of Droid Sans Bold replacement fonts everywhere within the system... brows.gif

And yeah, the VKB sucks, though IMHO it sucks less then the previous one... But sucks bad nonetheless... biggrin.gif

Thank god for small mercies like the Hard KB... biggrin.gif

How much rootfs free space do you have, if you're doing OTA that is... biggrin.gif

You need at least 55MBs, or safer 58MBs free on root.
