My my... been so long since I've been here. Work as a doctor's taking up time. This was done after 36 hours on call, no sleep, straight to gym in the evening. Cheers. =)

QUOTE(jamis @ Nov 1 2010, 10:25 AM) Dark tats madness, lack of sleep yet u still can stand those weight. I tried it once, when i was working night shift and training in the morning and i end up being sick for 3 days lol, doc asked me if i m working in pub The amount of Vits I'm taking.... lol, I'd better NOT fall sick. QUOTE(pedro @ Nov 1 2010, 12:16 PM) Lol, you realize that as a bodybuilder, i don't have functional strength, period. I bench 100kgs x 20 easy but you gimme a medium sized table and ask me to lug it up a 2 story building and I'm huffing and puffing like a steam engine. Hell, doing extended CPR on a collapsed hypotensive patient almost killed me! |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Dec 17 2010, 12:27 AM) Sorry man, the muscle mass and flexibility thing, so not true. Lets be real for a moment, it's not likely you're gonna be as huge as Kai Greene. So, we'll look at gymnasts. Look up Yuri Van Gelder, Hiroyuki Tomita or Chen Yibing. All big in their own right, and I'm sure they're preeeetty flexible. No la boss. The dancer has a point. If he's purely into dancing and not anything else intensive that may well be the perfect weight for him. |

QUOTE(John91 @ Dec 29 2010, 11:18 PM) I trained at home for my first year and then I started going to gyms. Now can't afford to do at home anymore. Weight simply isn't enough and very limited stuff that I can do. No you won't. =) One set doesn't count. It's the volume that counts and my strength is still going up. Once you press the 100's for 5 straight sets and each more than 10 per set then maybe. =PThx elven. Managed to Incline press 82lbs per side today for reps. Awesome. Catching up to you darkie. Btw looking for a training partner for a week @ FF Leisure Mall. |

QUOTE(John91 @ Feb 19 2011, 03:45 AM) Thx for the link Dan, what about size wise? I scared I'll look damn small after cutting. Starting cutting phase next week. No one who competes posts here anymore zzz... You want some serious clout you need to bring up those lats. You're lacking in width badly but as for progress I cannot tell cos it could be the bad lighting. Take another round of pics and see. |

345lbs x 6, slight help with 5th rep, more assist with 6th rep. Kept telling myself if that spotter fails I would die horribly. Rep scheme was:- Bar x 20 Bar x 20 95lbs x 15 135lbs x 15 225lbs x 6 275lbs x 6 315lbs x 6 345lbs x 6 Meh.... |

QUOTE(theCrab @ Apr 4 2011, 11:02 PM) Nah. I'm on a low rep scheme. The body adapts after a certain amount of time so it's good to switch it up. I wanted to go heavy today so I kept my warm up sets low and heavy to prime myself for that lift. Else I'll be warming up with 225lbs x15-20 for a few sets. |

QUOTE(theCrab @ Apr 4 2011, 11:44 PM) watching you video is like a motivation to myself Lol i don't like 5 x 5. Tried it but I don't like it. Not a bodybuilder's routine. Good for strength yeah but not for bodybuilding imo.lol so currently i follow your advise to do high reps high volume, after a period of time i might switch to 5 x 5 for some size and strength gain, giving body a shock..any insight or input ? |

QUOTE(Kmaru @ Apr 8 2011, 06:55 AM) One of my favorite snack or carb would be weetbix from sanitranium or woolworth home brand weetbix. Its very2 good and cheap. 1serving (2weetbic) has 20grm of carbs with only a gram of sugar. So if you're getting board with oats weetbix would be another choice and it dissolve in water faster compare to oats.. Heh I pack that stuff when on call at the hospital in those small zipper bags. When you comin back? We're supposedHow I usually prepare my weet-bix 1. Mix salad + 4 - 6 weet-bix + 2 whole egg + little water and microwave them for 40 - 80sec. to train together. Nik and Preetie said you'll be back soon? |

QUOTE(nickwwh @ Apr 16 2011, 09:22 PM) You don't have to thrust your hips so forward. You're getting a deadlift video filmed, not a porn act. =P How much was that? This post has been edited by darklight79: Apr 16 2011, 11:12 PM |
