You at least have to enable "Try to download preview chunks first" in Preference under File, then it depends whether you are able to download the first and last chunk of the file, it needs those two chunks for the preview function to work.

Anyone facing this problem with uploading speed suddenly drop?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Upload speed are usually constant at the max limit that I set that is 22kbps. I notice after some time, the upload speed will fall to a very low speed, about 8 - 5 kbps and it will remains there for a very long time, anywhere from 30 mins to more than 1 hour, then it will be back to normal for sometime, and drops again. It'll repeat on and on for the entire day.

I've tried enabling SpeedSense, doesn't help at all. I've also tried using Connect to Obfuscated Connection only, doesn't help either.

So can anyone help me out here?

If you have high ID, then your port forwarding is all OK. Note that even if its ok, you cant guarantee to get High ID all the time. Reconnect again and again to a server to get high ID. I do that, sometimes up to 10 or more times if very unlucky, to get High ID.

But as long as you've got High ID before, your port forwarding is all OK.

Then at security, make sure u enable protocol obfuscation. Me, i take a step further by selecting only allow protocol obfuscation. that means any client that disable or dont support obfuscation will not be connected. But for those who support, you will be sending them request to enable obfuscation when u connect to them, if they didn't already enable it in their connection to you.

well, emlue u have to wait and wait and wait. you cant get high speed all the time, usually u dl awhile, the back in waiting line. and upload as much as u can to move faster in queue.

the more you upload, the shorter time you need to wait tongue.gif
at least that applies to me tongue.gif
Uploaded more than 200GB of data and even now when I need to download stuff, I can get instant download without need to wait for a longer time period.
It is just a matter of contribution of upload and download that you make. Be a good ratio of seeder and all would fit the bill perfectly

and as what Hornet has said, yes, reconnect it manually until you get HighID.

It is a common problem in official client, where it will not "open more slot when needed". You can try Mods to see is there any difference. I would recommend the Xtreme Mod, latest version of 6.0 based 0.48a just released a few days ago.

I'm using COMODO firewall pro
My KAD status is Firewalled, IP is 121.120.XXX

Anyone know how to fix this? What port should I use?

@toloma
Do you able to gain access into that router/modem (?) console page? You can do that by RUN>CMD>IPCONFIG, where default gateway is the router/modem (?) 's IP. For COMODO firewall pro, you have to check the user manual or FAQ for how to allows eMule's trafic. Besides, don't forget bout Windows firewall too.

eMule has unicode support and will fetch you Chinese files when you search for them. Make sure you select global servers.

The real problem though is that Streamyx has appeared to have plugged the hole that allowed eMule traffic in the past. As of today eMule is barely crawling, if at all.

you're absolutely right! i thought i was the only one experiencing this today. eMule download speed is noticeably slow, barely moving at all! it's like TM found a new way to block eMule from downloading. sad.gif

i hope whoever's able to find a workaround will post it here for us. *sigh* will this never end? why must TM persist to ruin the internet experience for all of us!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Good news is some of the people here have reported good results with Xunlei. I myself find that Xunlei is good for popular TV series, but almost useless when comes to certain torrents, or more specifically, certain BT trackers. For an idea of what I'm talking about, see picture.

[attachmentid=263290]

Bottom line is, if you're big on Chinese shows and anime, Xunlei will come through for you with kamikaze speed. However, if your download is restricted to anime shows only, there is an alternative. Point your browser to the DivX wholesale hosting site. There you will find PVs, CMs, animes, the whole kit'n'kaboodle. Better than YouTube, the files you up or download are never converted into that unsavory FLV format.

I am a newbie and downloaded not popular files.

I am using the 512k package now.

Is that worth for me to upload with high speed ?(more than 20k ?)

My dl speed was quite low now.

What you need is just let the upload for 1 night or few days, then you will see the difference.
As longer you use, then you will get what I mean.
There is no need to upload more than 20k, but it is recommended if you are capable of.
10-12k should be sufficient for 512kbps package

Yes, it will auto upload to the client that requested the part.
It is using queue method, instead of torrent, leech method.
One need to wait for its turn in order to get the part.

recently i facing low dl speed of emule after i change to latest version 0.48a with extreme mod

before i change to 0.48a i always sharing my >200gb files with 25kb/s ul speed and i downloading ~20 files at the same time my dl speed can easily reach ~150kb/s within half an hour after i added those files and its can remain constant for long period. but recently i realize that even my upload speed still remain at 25kb/s but my dl speed so slow just around 20~30kb and sometimes even <10kb,but if luckily i can get 70~80kb but just for a while only even i keep it over night and its cant achieve top speed anymore like before.

i wondering is the version problem or just like a guy say that is the TMNUT find some new way to block emule? need some pro help here

btw, i never facing connection lost or cant connect to any servers before but recently my emule keep lost connection with servers when i dling and i so difficult to connect back to server after the connection lost. damn frustrated sad.gif very miss my >150kb/s!!

Same situation here, random disconnections, difficulty in establishing connection to servers after that, and downloads speed are almost always below 10kb nowadays while the upload speed remains the same.

All this happened recently, anyone who knows what caused this please enlighten us. Thanks
