HighID = port forward OK. rolleyes.gif

If you want to keep your firewall on, you need to allows eMule traffic to passby, not close it. You can check Bitdefender's manual on how to do this. Where you download the server.met? Just edit with notepad, you should know what it is inside server.met. Should put into eMule>config folder.

hi all,

i have a lil prob, my download speed is really bad even though high ID and also I leave my pc on over nite for few days. I have changed the ports to a higher number above 10000 but still no help. Although High ID and also KAD status is open, when i test the port under emule's Options>Connections, my TCP test failed... any reason for this? I connect via a router which I have already configured the Virtual Server and firewall properly with a static IP.

Anyone can show the port range suitable for emule? I only know that 4661 is default port for emule.

From v0.46c, eMule does not has default port, you can use any ports you like.
Just use the range between 49152 and 65535, these ports do not have any program assigned to them.

Ok, here's my problem. My comp crash while I was downloading 2 files with eMule, but when I boot it back up, one of them is gone from the task. I still have the unfinish file with me, is there any way to put the task back into the list?

Thanks.

As in the temp. files ?
What happens when you try to reload the ed2k link ? It doesn't automatically rehash ?

Are you using the latest version of eMule ?

Yes, the files in the temp folder. I'm using the lastest 0.47c verycd build. When I try to rerun the ed2k link, it starts again a fresh file. I didn't want that as my previous file was almost completely finish. Is there any way to run the incomplete file again to resume the download?

Check you eMule TEMP folder, there should have 3 type of files inside
*.part.met.bak
*.part.met
*.part

Sample:
Most of the time this happened coz of the *.part.met was missing. Before start, pls shut down eMule. If your broken download is 003.part, check if the 003.part.met izzit still there? (probably not) If not, you can create a copy of 003.part.met.bak, and rename it to 003.part.met. Launch eMule again.

currently my pc connecting to LAN, it got firewall in it, and given me a Low ID. so if i want to change to high id i have to unblock the firewall, so if 12pc connecting to it, can i just unblock my port only and leave the rest blocked?

If I understand your question correctly, yes you can, by portforwarding. http://www.portforward.com/
