QUOTE(keeekeee @ Sep 7 2010, 12:02 AM) You have to take note that CPL filters will cut some amount of light to your camera so you should only attach it when you really need to use it.This post has been edited by raptor_cZn: Sep 7 2010, 12:07 AM |

For CPL..get the thinnest you can afford..otherwise when u use it with wide angle lens you will see vignetting..

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Aug 11 2010, 10:08 AM) hai, i just got this TV lens 35mm, f1.7, but it seen like hard to shoot, i only manage shoot closeup photo, other then that, all are blur, may i know how's ur setting ? i'm Olympus EPL-1 userAdded on September 9, 2010, 10:17 am QUOTE(D@Ne @ Aug 11 2010, 07:29 AM) Only adjusted the contrast and colour in lightroom. Nothing else. The lens can handle low light quite well as no flash were used. Haha, I guess there's no real secret, you either need lots of ambient light or very stable hand
Btw... I notice I haven't touched my GF1 for some time so grabbed it and snapped some random pic ![]() Danbos' Dessert by samurai1337, on Flickr |

By right, 35mm should be sharper with lesser distortion, especially vignetting. For me, I hv to depends very much on EVF. Sometime need to magnify to achieve sharper focus. 25mm is able to shoot under low light. The LCD/EVF will appear brighter with this lens and this help in focusing. I only tested the 25mm twice where I set it to Aperture Priority and just shoot (there is an aperture ring but I always set it to wide open for night shot. Have not tried on daytime though). |

I won't recommend myself to put a metal hood on the pancake, since I favour portability above others. So I'm using a UV filter myself, HOYA. For a pancake, you can easily use your hand to cover stray lights entering the lens.

Finally i get an adaptor to use the Canon lens in my EPL1.
See my Canon 50mm F1.8 with adaptor. ![]() Below are the first photo I took with 50mm in EPL1. Manual focus is not as hard as i think. ![]() This post has been edited by FrozenRay: Sep 11 2010, 10:08 PM |
