Anybody dare to use a vacuum cleaner to suck dust? But static generated at the tip of the pipe might kill the electronics. Risky ~!

arr i duno why bad luck still keep happening ...it seems like finger print stuff on sensor....@.@ how they could handle this carelessly...

really need them to clean for me liao next visit...too bad that my 20mm coming to the town in 2 days

try and take a photo with the highest F number, white wall or something, then use low shutter speed, like 10, then when you press the shutter button, shake your camera.

If you can see the dusts/ smearing, then maybe you need to clean it. if not or very minor, i suggest you to leave it alone lol.

It's true :/
I have some dust in my viewfinder and sensor.
Dust in viewfinder cant help it unless I send it to canon service center but i've heard cases of dust being increased LOL
And dust on sensor, only visible only F22 and above, which I don't really mind since the highest F number I've used is F11.

But if the dust is stuck quite hard to the sensor, would the supersonic vibration be able to shake off the dust?

okay i've decided to get a camera for my gf.
the EPL1 (cos i have the gf1 already and now i can have the best of both worlds and play with her camera too!) 
but does anyone know where i can find this color in malaysia? or maybe singapore if i have to? its sexy and i havent see this color in msia before!!

Now no lens to try but I can notice the sensor got some smudge(finger print stuff)...
worse come to worst...gona go Penang w/t  camera and leave them to clean it

Yes I experienced that too frequency. That's one of the reason why I got the VF-2. Actually you can select 1 AF Point and after AF lock, you can reframe.

That's a classic traditional technique called Focus-Recompose...
But personally I wouldn't recommend doing so because it causes error in focal plane. (If you are using middle AF point to do so)
Always select the closest AF point after composing whenever possible to prevent this.

I do that alot when using E-P2 tho (AF point always at middle, focus-recompose), cause switching AF point required me to press 2 buttons then only able to select, kind of inconvenient compared to my DSLR.

No..I mean with VF-2 you can see if the picture is in focus clearer compared to using only the live view.

As for the picture, that is not my mum. I think she is the shop owner's wife.
