in this retrospec, I may have to say venables may be right that gerrard must make a decision to leave liverpool since $$$ can bring some into liverpool to buy reinforcements. his heart may be at liverpool but at such situation I will understand he is & will not leave because LFc is in a turmoil but more so in him leaving we can generate to rebuild. (in my mind gerrard is worth 3 workrate of a player)

torres cant leave, as much as he can generate a lot of $$$$$ (likes of RM, man city & even manU are willing buyers) but he is young to see the reincarnation of liverpool. that includes reina too.

I thought in last couple of matches he sort of like becoming anonymous I shifted most of my attention to Aquilani instead. He has alot to redeem himself if he wanted to get back to that talisman (marvel) cult status.

Yeap, he spend a lot money and buy alot players. Most of the players is price is not high. So meaning, high spending with high quantity. Base on spending is ok, bcoz u spend more and get more. But those players we bought in cant contribute much. Imagine u spend 30mil and buy about 10 or more players. But these players doesn't make impact. So that's go 30Mil. If with 30Mil, bought 2 players and they did contribute then is OK. Players like Torres is a good example.
We did spend and buy players but so far we didn't see them in action, then why on the first place we buy them? But this season, is ok, we spend big only on few players. Johson not bad, Aqua also ok only need time.
Actually we also can't blame the Yanks much, Rafa also need to responsible. Over the years, he had given money to spend. Can I say Rafa didn't utlize the money well? of course we can't have every year big money to spend. At least we qualify to CL over last few years, so break even? But his season how? next season how? Are we going like Leeds?

Again, as said many times, the pre-requisite factor is the new stadium to generate more money and better merchanside sale  to generate profit. Without, it is almost impossible to compete and spend big in transfer market to bring in good players.

A new bigger stadium and better financial situation will be the key for the future of the club.

Yes we have plenty of world class players. This season, however..injuries has played a huge part in our poor form. Imagine United without Rooney for more than half the season. This season has f***ed us over in terms of injuries. Torres, Gerrard, Agger, Skrtel, Benayoun, Aquilani and Glen Johnson have all been injured for extended periods of time. Thats almost half of our first team right there.

The bottomline is, our squad isn't good enough. When you look at our bench, we have babel, el zhar, ngog and pachecho. Now look at Chelsea's bench. Look at MU's bench. Hell, even City has a better bench than us. Our first team is good enough to defeat any team in the world on our day, even barca. Our subs however, needs to be improved.

Jack Robinson became Liverpool's youngest ever player when he came on against Hull City on Sunday aged 16 years and 250 days.

The Warrington-born defender broke a record set by Max Thompson, who made his debut at the age of 17 years and 129 days in 1974.

Though Robinson replaced Ryan Babel on the left of midfield at Hull, his natural position is at full-back.

He first trained with Rafael Benitez's first team ahead of our Europa League clash with Benfica in March.

"Jack was okay," the boss told us after that session. "He was a little bit shy at first, a little bit quiet.

"But the senior players were helping and supporting him. The first training session is never easy but little by little he was better."

Remarkably, Robinson hasn't even figured for the Reserves yet - though he has been one of the stars of Rodolfo Borrell's U18 team this term.

His main attributes are his determination and an ability to get forward and produce the goods in the final third.

Wayne Rooney's schoolboy record of scoring 72 goals in a season has been broken by 11-year-old Gerard Garner.

The Liverpool Boys star equalled Rooney's record from the 1996/97 season - achieved with the same team - with two matches left to play.

He then broke it with a goal in the North West Cup Final against Macclesfield before ending his season with a hat-trick against Wirral to sign off a 76-goal season.

"I never thought I would get anywhere near the record at the start of the season," said Garner. "I didn't even know there was one until much later!"

The incredible season has helped his side win all 39 of their matches this season, with the star player himself notching eight hat-tricks as they collected an astonishing nine trophies. Among those hat-tricks he scored four in a match on three occasions and five twice.

The Kirkby-born left-footer attended the same school as Rooney - Our Lady & St Swithun's primary school in Croxteth - and is heading to the same secondary school in September, and is already being tipped to follow the Rooney path to a glorious career.
