Anyway, good conclusions that i can gather is that people who are very religious are usually those who will believe in doomsday and actually wish it to be coming as soon as possible so that they can all go to heaven?

Skeptics are usually those who does not believe in doomsday and not worry about problems paying car installments?

But then the relative of mine is a firm believer but still worry about paying car installments after 2012, does it means she is :
a) a wack job
b) does not have a clear mind of what is what
c) undecided whether to be true religious (not fully a devoted to religion yet)

What is there to believe from those people?They have no facts, no figures, no reasonable theories,other than whole bunch of baseless claims. There isnt any scientific facts in all these doom days saying, other than claims to religion.

Can religion explain something in a logical manner? No,and i never seen one.

Tell me why this thread should be there,and also,what are the scientific facts related to 2012 end of the world?

NASA said no,it will not happen,same goes with other researchers or scientist. So,now,you rather listen to some baseless claims,than people who spend their lives studying it?

End of the world will happen because of global warming that is causing climate change, or some random meteorite suddenly collide with earth that could happen anytime.

Thats the flaw right there. The mayans didnt say the world will end in the year 2012 at all. their calendar merely ends at that date because they got too lazy to complete it ad infinitum.

First of all, what is NASA? Did you know many ex Nazis were brought into NASA? Heard of Operation Paperclip?

For me, NASA has done a lot of work, and.... also suppressed a lot of their findings... They only show you what they want you to see, can't be fully trusted at all.

Actually NASA did admit the risk of CME from the sun is high during the next few years. A big CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) can wipe out all electronic systems on earth.

Right now, keep an eye on the volcano eruption in Iceland.

If this eruption carries on for a long time, Europe will be paralyzed, and that will lead to further economic trouble, and that is putting it mildly. Airlines are losing $200 million a day.

Personally I do not believe in a doomsday myself.

But...and I just cannot help noticing. You see, I'm not supporting this doomsday theory, but there really is a lot of crazy stuff nowadays, even to the most nonchalant among us, it should be obvious.....

And not a few weeks goes by without something pretty crazy happening. It's getting to be even kinda "entertaining."

I'm a Muslim, so I believe in Doom's Day.. From the description about Kiamat in Quran and Hadis, I believe the end is near, but I don't think it'll be in 2012..



That's totally wrong conception.. If she really believe in 2012, she should buy the most expensive car she could afford and enjoy it every second before 21st Dec 2012.. Life is too short to worry about installment or jobless..

what believing in official stuff, anyone with even a little knowledge of space history know that Von Braun is a nazi, and how could you have know what nasa have and have not cover up from the public?

I am saying, I don't buy NASA's spin all the time. There are a lot of conflicting interests within the NASA organization.

Why I say I don't buy all the stuff NASA gives is because of their track record. Like they have explored the moon for 50 years and say there is no water there, but one small Indian probe "suddenly" found water there last year? How embarrassing. Or maybe they just didn't want to tell.....

Buzz Aldrin is now implying many times that there is "something" on Phobos, and it is very important that humans find out what is there, and funny thing is NASA has nothing to say about this at all? If you actually follow the real space news, Phobos is given top priority by the European Space Agency, but not NASA....

As for the volcano, yes, I believe IF the volcano keeps on erupting, it will damage the European economy, and possibly the world economy after that. There is no need to argue on this, you just observe how long this air travel freeze keeps up. Already a lot of airlines are jumping up and down. It's called the most serious air disruption in modern times. It's not just the European economy, few days ago Goldman Sachs has been charged with fraud, I don't know if that means anything, but they were considered untouchable before this. Will this open the door to more upheaval in the US economy? Who knows?

What does this have to do with us in Msia? Well, if the parent company back home is in big trouble, they retrench....I think there is no need to explain what comes next, and then what comes next and then what comes next. Everything is interlinked today. What happens in far away lands will affect us in good ole Malaysia one way or the other. Maybe not immediately, but it will.

Again, I don't believe in doomsday (as in DOOMSDAY), but I do think things will change in the near future. It's not whether you want to believe or not because nobody's asking anyone to believe anything or trying to convince anyone. I'm only stating what is happening right now. None of this is made up.

Too much crazy stuff last year, and now this year, alone. Swine flu, Norway Spiral...maybe the Pope will resign....even dropping crime rates worldwide...etc, etc, etc. Just getting too weird.

It's just different priority for different organisation.

Just because the Indians found water and moon,while NASA couldnt find one drop, you dont believe in NASA. How big is the moon and how much the human race has explored the moon? The Indians found water on moon because they landed on the polar ice caps where water have always been suspected there.

The outter space is a huge place with a lot of things to explore. If you cant find it the first time, there is a second chance to find it by someone else.

Then,you start to bring in some conspiracy again. You lot really love conspiracies.

I say,global warming is more of a possibly of end of human race.

Just ask yourself one main question...
If you're part of the party that discover the Dooms Day is real, would you broadcast to the whole world???
The answer is NO because this will trigger panic and chaos to all humans regardless of country, race, religion, red party, & etc...

But this worries me as major earthquake is happening very frequent... each month have at least 1 major Earthquake...and now Volcanoes....
Is Dooms Day real??? One thing for sure, it's worrying base on the current natural disaster facts...
