i believe the life of earth is finite but not as early as 2012.. maybe got another 1 or 2 more centuries before the earth become too hostile to live in.

It could just be a "beginning" of something new or totally life changing (mindset changed/extraordinary event that changes human perception forever). And then whatever before this is then the "end".

Seriously, I do agree with Stephen Hawking that it's kinda risky to reach out to Alien... an analogy is to what European had colonize the US land

it is too late now, we cannot stop the voyager probe with is hurling toward the AC+79 3888, if they are alien there they may come to know our location using the golden record. so we still have 40k years before worry about the alien with faster than light flight capability will find it, that is assuming there is life developed on that system and they have highly developed technology.

True...now it takes a randomness for the voyager probe to encounter alien

Or maybe we human were Alien after all based from Ancient Astronauts theory... and the year 2012 is the new evolution for human to be contacted by inter-galactic advance human alien...

ok, something interested to share with you guys.

I was chatting to a friend the other day and he told me about this collegue of his that is a believer. This guy is really a moron (in my own opinion).

He often do charity work by buying live animals from market and then releasing them out to the open. In chinese term, it's called "let live". But the ironic thing is, he continue to eat meat. He says those who slaughter the animal is the one who get lots of bad karma. Those who eat, not so bad. He also believe in 2012 saying it is not really end of the world but rather something drastic will happen. And he believe, his past life, he was an alien. I LOLed my ass off....

I was like...how can an educated person (he is an engineer), have this kind of mentality?

no suprising, a lot of perfectly sane and smart people believe in crazy stuff.

that can be quite irresponsbile as not all animals can survive in the open. Aquarium fishes for example....are perfectly happy being in captivity, as long as their basic requirements are met, namely - food, clean water and space.

Rabbits wont last 1 week with all the predators around.

Tortoises is hazardous to the eco system because they eat everything.

well, if these people can think straight they would have done something better that can contribute to society like sponsor a kid or visit welfare homes. But no...this "let live" concept seems more noble and "easy". That is the irony of people who talk something but does another. They are not even fit to live among humans let alone living with god when they die....

if the world ends would probably starts in Africa or USA becuase 1 is most advance, the other opposite but both most notorious

at first, why human being created here (earth) not saturn? not pluto? (dont tell me because earth got oxygen)

second, who created human being?

third, the purpose of human being created? i dont think we birth for work, study, screw girls, screw by boss, buy house, buy car, go clubbing etc..
it must be some purpose that's y we here to achieve
