human civilization will end, but the planet will carry on just fine for billions more years.

the save the planet project out there should really be change to the save the human project. the planet will not die because of global warming of polution, human and wild life will die, but the planet will not even notice.

if u r a moslem then go get the books entitled "Siri Ensiklopedia Akhirat" by Syaikh Mahir Ahmad Ash-Shufi...it's a 10 part series ensiklopedia on judgment day explained in an easy to understand BM according to the Quran and hadith...i enjoy it very much and it helps me to understand the topic better...i'm currently on the 4th book...hope it helps those looking for better explanation about the nature of Kiamat (Judgement Day)...

Cause when it happens, earth will still be around, just human only extinct. Just like dinosour age.

The idea or lie was such a long time ago by some fools, if it is indeed fore casted, why the Mayan continue to populate anyway and didn't do anything at all? So what is the point of telling people its going to end and there is nothing we can do, is that suppose to be a curse just so all the generations will live in fear?
