QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Jun 8 2005, 07:08 PM) What do you mean by that, i think he's on BH-5s, and BH-5 couldn't do CL3What RAM is that... even cheap KVR capable of CAS 2 at stock... Btw CAS doesn't matter anymore, RAS# to CAS# and RAS# precharge are most important values to look after... anyway.... 2.5-3-3-8 is the loosest timing for BH-5 i think, any looser than that won't give any benefit. |

it's normal that sempron A ot athlon xp running on high voltage eventhough only a little oc. that's why we prefer mobile athlonxp for overclocking.

At 300MHz HTT, I can do SuperPi 1M and 2M stable.... but cannot do 4M and higher.
Do I need more voltage on the CPU? It is already 1.3V * 136%. Is it because of the memory controller sucky? It's kinda weird coz most Palermo out there usually runs 2.4-2.5ghz speed with 1.6V or less. Or could it be because of high temperature that it produces error during stress test? I'm only running on stock AMD aluminium heatsink... haha I already run RAM/FSB divider at 2/3 so that my RAM runs at 200mhz. RAM is set at 2-2-2-5 with 2.6V (Memtest stable for hours). CPU : Sempron 2800+ Palermo DH8-D0 Stepping : LBBID 0514CPMW CPU VID : 1.3V * 136% HTT : 300MHz Multi : 8x LDT : Auto RAM : 200mhz, 2-2-2-5-1T @ 2.6V AGP : 66MHz, 1.5V Chipset : 1.6V (Every else is set at default) Attached thumbnail(s) |

Looks like a bit overvolt. Default Vcore for Sempron is 1.4V
Anyway.... your E6 can do prime stable at that speed? |

stock psu is dangerous, can damage the mobo or hdd, or other component.
stock cpu fan is not really dangerous... i'm using it to OC at 300*8 ... max temp is no more than 54'C with normal room temperature at full load. it all depends on the cpu. sempron k8 usually runs at a bit lower temp compare to athlon64 at the same speed, bcoz of smaller cache. |
