hey since this phone is the same as the htc desiree based on the hardware but in terms of software which would have an advantage? like which is more likely to get more roms or more themes?

but how about the future? like can desire overtake nexus? since its easier to acquire desire rather than nexus so desire may have more roms and themes since it has more users..

desire has got optical instead of track ball.. also it has bigger RAM compare to N1.
don't forget the in-build 8GB storage and overall is cheaper price.
WTH.
but for me the design of N1 is more sleek and quality seems better.

Heya guys,

Any suggestions of any good video converter?

Currently using Cyanogen 5.0.6. If I were to change roms, would my contacts and any other datas and programs be lost?

New Nexus owner here biggrin.gif
A bit of review here. My previous phone is HTC G1.
So, when I got this phone obviously the smoothness is really awesome compared to the 1st model. I will just compare based on my previous hone which is G1 biggrin.gif
Review:
Almost lag free on all department(ie camera, contacts, messaging etc)
3G issues: doesn't bother me coz in my opinion this issue also exists since the G1 era. What i did was just put it on 2G and untick back and the 3G will resolve.
Sound quality: doesn't improve much
Screen: improved by using AMOLED!!!!
Camera: other than the 5mp quality I would say the camera captures almost immediate.
browser: improves speed maybe bcoz of much higher ram
Phone design: Much Much Better

Even to get root and installing new rom is easier than G1.

Well, I pretty much covered much of the area and feel free to contact me if you want to know more. I'll try to add further.
btw, I would recommend to use cyanogenmod rom bcoz it improves a lot of the speed and doesn't change at all of the UI. Afterall I kinda like the UI in Nexus. Sense UI for me doesn't give any good impression to me maybe because I once tried the HTC Hero UI and I personally think it doesn't change much even the widget is about the same.

Bro, ur contact won't lose if you synchronize with your gmail account. I would recommend you to download backup tool such as backup for root program to backup everything and save it in your memory card. After flashing the rom, you just simply restore it.

after testing the 16GB class 4 kingmax microSD...
dump in alot of pictures and music...
it takes really long time to read my photos and music (especially photos).
but is only when i first inserted the microSD...
after that it turns back to normal speed and i'm *much more* happy with my N1 now.
done a test i got 5MB/sec writing speed when transferring my files and surprisingly the original sandisk class 2 micro SD reading also up to 5MB/sec.
is it because of writing and reading speed is different??

I am using Jabra BT2070.. so far so good since i dun need bt headset for music purpose~ (^^)

not recommended to use stereo bt headset for N1 music purpose because originally N1 batt already consume very fast~ if connect bt headset and ply music.. hehe~ i think your N1 only can last 3 hours or less.

So just go for cheaper mono bt headset ~ i tried Jabra and itech clip~ both also good in signal reception but itech is slightly better (u can feel it when u are talking to your fren). Just depend what type bt headset form u like~ itech usually is clipper form.
