today.... HAIHHHZZZSS, i just wanna test my kitlens only (really! i'm not the show off type!) but those guys with big GUNS look at me and shout "WAHHHHH" (gulp) and all gather around me =.=|||

most of u had already guessed what is my latest haul (which is now my walkaround lens)... for those who dont, here it goes.... (say "WAHHHH")

A450??? Same sensor as a550 but lack of quick af lv. What's the meaning? Does it means no 2nd sensor for lv? But got manual focus check lv. Means use main sensor only? But got speed priority mode. No tilting screen, smaller screen. Which level does it belongs to?? Between a500 and a550 (because of the speed priority mode and resolution) or lower than a550/500(no quick af lv)? Hahaha funny comparison.

mastering89: sadly, sony malaysia did not plan to bring in A450, but its been in the market for some time now, but there are some merchant bring it in from other country.

IwanAGP: if u compare the result of the photo, it is same level as A550. its just a stripped cheaper version of A550. like A200 (vs A300), without LV, but the same sensor and same spec. it's for those who wans A550 power but not willing to spend more for the LV, A450 cover that range.

but the price doesnt fit in anywhere. so it's better off buying a500 or a550 for the tilt screen and LV as these functions are essential for taking weird angle shots smile.gif IMO, the LV is very useful.

for me resolution is not really important as you dont really need to print 10mp of pictures.
compare 7fps and 5fps, unless u really need to freeze motion of your subjects, you dont really need the 7fps. summore the focus and metering of the speed priority is based on the first shot, the following shots might be OOF.

disclaimer: comments by inexperience dslr user. last time i asked the sifu here regarding a550(same mp and shutter speed as a450) and a500, and they told me these. so make your own decision based on how deep is ur pocket tongue.gif

one thing about the a450~ it has bigger OVF than the a550 for sure~ something the old skool photog will be comfortable with~ especially those from the a200 upgrade~ smile.gif

sorry to tell you that A450 and A550 was the same OVF magnification which is x0.80....

a450 is the same as a200 and a230 at x0.83~ it may sound marginally difference on paper but on reality it makes quite a difference for the old skool photog~ tongue.gif
