what u mean 2nd and 3rd pic frm below? the 2nd last pic, those are octopus tentacles! 6000 won each! about RM18-19 each testicle tentacle! they will cut it into bite size for you then grilled over coal before bagging it... smells nice

p/s: read wrongly just now, sorry... hehhe, read as 'what' instead of 'where'... its at Myung-dong

i guessed as much you're refering to the last pic... if u see, the subject is the girl, and i did not use any flash in street photography. to expose for the face would mean that i need to spot meter on the dark face, thus definitely will overexpose the bright lights from inside the shop.

for the sotong pic, same rule applies, just that it is not as obvious as the girl's pic

ISO 800 for most of the night shots

yeah its sakura!

thanks smile.gif blush.gif

#1 - Last year, I had the opportunity to shoot my favorite local metal band, Dragon Red!

Although their sound is modern, I can't call them nu-metal - there are solos, and pinch harmonics to remember Dimebag Darrell by. This is one of the few bands I would let my hair down for to headbang with (and now, I don't need to let my hair down to headbang!)

#2 - From left to right: Amil the shredder, Camero the bassist, Adam the screamer/crooner, Slyde the rapper, Manshaan the drummer.

The light setup was simple - one F42 from left, one F58 from right, and one F58 on my A900 to trigger them both (this was before the F20 came out.)

#3 - The Minolta 24-105mm F3.5-4.5(D) does admirably in the element of F8 with good light. In that sense I say it's suitable to be a studio lens when stopped down to F8-F16.

#4 - The belt is so metal, it doubles as a lighter!

mastering89: Wow I didn't know Sigma made such a close-focusing kit lens at 19.7cm! I mean, there is the more premium 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC Macro, but this is the FF version of it perhaps.

No, the Minolta 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 is nothing like this (I had the silver version before with my Minolta Dynax 7.)

lwliam: Nice #1 #5! #3 could be more in focus but then I guess you were shooting in low light from the color. #6 could be cropped. Nice series of dolls in #7.

thanks albnok, how do you reckon to crop #6?

i was shooting from a moving MPV on the freeway doing 120kph tongue.gif anyway, i dont see any distinctive subject to be made a focal point. the purpose of the shot is to show how dense the housing is on the hills with the spire of the church being its highest point.

i've been poison badly by my own lens. LOL, it's sooo lovely!

today (thursday, not yet sleep ma) is a great day, went to test my lens again. went to a local mall, there is a 'fashion' event, terrible lighting again... but filled with many other photographers, but today a little diff, i felt weird....

usually, lot of photographer(especially me) will envy those with big GUNS (70200F2.8 lenses)... we go "WAHHHHH" when they swing their guns, and we loves to gather around them...
today.... HAIHHHZZZSS, i just wanna test my kitlens only (really! i'm not the show off type!) but those guys with big GUNS look at me and shout "WAHHHHH" (gulp) and all gather around me =.=|||

most of u had already guessed what is my latest haul (which is now my walkaround lens)... for those who dont, here it goes.... (say "WAHHHH")
