XCOM : Slingshot DLC for sale already. USD6.99.

i'm still waiting for the day we could requisition a bloody airstrike or something, like say, 1 use only.

Don't buy the dlc is you haven't finish your current campaign, otherwise you won't be able to load your gamesave.

Not gonna buy this DLC, it does look very underwhelming. Not worth that 7USD for it. Not to forget they jacked the price up to 10USD in Aus.

For XCOM, I really think they should work on full fledged expansions that continue the storyline (after the ending) rather than small DLCs with a story that happen during the original campaign.

This dlc is more like Civ5 style really. Better wait for something substantial like an actual expansion.

fuuuuu just finished classic iron man, almost lost in the last mission where my psychic guy was shot by sectopod laser beam to one health!!

Finished C/I twice, and I still quit on impossible. Anyone won?

Can ask how is the story? Satisfy?

I felt the game too short compared to the old version. Story wise similar but more well presented with cut-scenes.

But XCOM is not about the game story, more about the tactical story you experience. Something like if you played DOTA or CS, you can remember a certain game, where you totally own the enemy or you got owned yourself. XCOM more of less let you experience those moments.

How you compare it to Brotherhood of Steel?

Took me less than 12 hours on Classic difficulty and countless re-loads.

Have not continued my Classic Ironman yet. That would be a very patient game indeed.

Added on December 25, 2012, 4:49 pmThe turn based gaming is more streamlined in XCOM as it is considered a more console friendly game. No counting time points here. I only played BOS a short while a very very long time ago. So I'm basing it more on Classic Fallout turn based titles.

You have to search Youtube for gameplay videos including the strategy gameplay.

I am naming my soldiers after my Football Team Players. Hurts so much when they are killed.

I named my soldiers after my real life friends name,if one of them got killed,i immediately text my friend,telling them that they're already died.

i named my team after the X-Men. needless to say Wolverine has the best kill count. (Assault class)

for my unique soldier with the psy gift i named him 007. Prof X seems kinda lame..
