Brother, don't say like that la. Not changing the grommet doesn't mean we don't care about our rackets. If you take care of your rackets properly, the grommet would last for a very long period of time. Of course, the bumper guard would definitely shows wear and tear and normal scratches, but grommet can still be used. I myself has extra sets of grommet in hand, just in case the one that I'm using is spoiled or broken but so far, after years of using and abusing, grommet seems still in good condition. Now, go figure too. biggrin.gif

You can't actually take care of your own grommets unless you string your own racket. If you send to shop to string, its the responsibility of the stringer to know how to string a racket properly without pulling the strings too fast to spoil/burn the grommet. Most shitty stringers kill the grommet when tying the knot they clamp and pull tension hence some grommets look like deformed mushrooms :-(

if u guys played hard, tournament player, it's difficult to take care of ur racquet, scratchless is out of question. Once in a while u have to do low volley that for sure u racquet will touch the ground.

I myself not particular about scratch on the racquet. For a moment u feel bad, next moment, arghh who cares

sorry bro .. din mean to offend anyone... i'm not saying dun sayang racquet... hehe... i mean in the market here esp in Malaysia... most ppl dun really bother abt the bumper / grommet condition .. most are more particular on the racquet frame cond... so that's y shops here also dun sell grommets. But on the contrary when we buy racqs... bumper / grommet condition shud b the least of our worries as they are replaceable but the frame are not.. Basically grommet are a bit more important than the bumper itself.. coz that's where the stringer tie the knots .. and some of them kill the grommet when tying the knot too big etc. esp those hybrid style and no extra holes...

sorry yar if offended u .. wink.gif din mean to ...

dun worry bro ... just dun wanan make enemies.. we're all here to hav a good time and to enjoy the game... smile.gif

anyways yup grommet & bumper guard not the same thing.. but basically when you order from t/w or midwest .. it comes in a set... meaning for e.g. PSGT grommet USD5.99 comes with bumper+grommet ... so no choice also .. mesti upgrade 2 at the same time...

If bought together with racquet should be no issue with custom. I am thinking of getting few racquets along with 12 pack bag....If I order a bag and ship it a piece, there is surely custom tax waiting for it.

Yup, go bulk together is the best... just share the shipping cost among the purchases... bags in malaysia they will tax and clothes i think..
