pseudoblue, the one you have is which model ah? that 1 really good and so small!! is it H501? NW looks good or not???
Yeap, it's the H501w (neutral white), the neutral tint is awesome on this XRE LED nod.gif thumbup.gif It's a pure flood light, excellent at close range, works great in our last trail. It's also one of my overnight lamp brows.gif The light is fully regulated and it seems to protect NiMH batts, it will blink or strobe to tell you the battery is low and then switches off. It won't turn on again, until you change or let the battery voltage rebound.

Added on April 23, 2010, 3:36 pmOK, i'm abit wayy back on the 47's news than I used to... just found out the S1200 has a custom charger! .......catching up tongue.gif

hmm.gif  that could be a good thing... let's take it positively.  biggrin.gif
user posted image I'm not sure there's a positive in this. It was always good to hear discussion about prototypes and what to expect out of it. Looks like David kinda finally draw the line on this one.

Strinq, let me quote it here and for everyone as well. Probably the last we'll know about it until final release. I do require some clarifications about 17670 hmm.gif

s1800 is very close. we just completed a successful test production run of 100pcs.

g500's are very close as well. they're already in production. but we're not releasing anything until we have a ship date.

s1200 will take some time as we just added some more features. a custom charger is in the works as well.

Yes. VERY friendly. We have pending patent(s) on accomodating the 18650.

s1800 takes 6xcr123a. If you need a rechargable 18650 solution which makes it bulkier, check out the olight sr90. The s18 does take 6xrcr123 but it doesn't run that long on max mode. 3x17670 doesn't work because it's a buck circuit inside - I haven't tried it yet though but theoretically it should DD the LED.

------------
Jens a 3x18650 will be considered in the future but no plans yet. 18650's will make the body thicker. Also, runtimes will be shorter. The primary light market is much bigger than the rechargables. We need to get out of the red before we start diversifying the line - Let's walk before we run.

Sorry I meant buck circuit. Yes in parallel, so fresh batteries are needed each time. We're getting packs wrapped in series so they can be easily reloaded by popping in three pairs

1 mode only left.

You killer! flashlight driver killer!!

Yeap we need the whole justice department for this. The CSI (Circuit Specialist & Interrogator) for this, since we have a serial driver killer... And the FBI (Flashlight Battery Investigator) for the mis-use of Li-ION! Cuff him guys!

Wow, where u got it, how much ah these kind of things, never have a knife . tongue.gif
I got it from a local dealer here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Malaysia_Knife_...hp?showforum=25 (Senoi Superstore, Off the shelf). Nice guy to deal with and delivered the item to GW2U.
His next stock of Spyderco Tenacious (which is more popular than Persistence I guess) would be coming in next week (eta). Also I've ordered a Maxpedition bag also eta next week brows.gif If you want can contact him via email and he'll deliver them to GW2U next week together with my bag (LOL I am poisoning other ppl, can't help it).

I'm a noob when comes to blade "technology". I just know how to use a 'cooking' knife wink.gif. But I'm sure all the knife expert here will recommend Spyderco for the best. Although I've learnt that the Persistence and Tenacious has the same type of blade quality. And there are other more higher quality serious stuff from Spyderco (and more expensive). Mine should be a basic.

Haha... President kena poison again.
As always... flashaholics will somehow get into knives and multitools... same thing happened to me. I now have a spyderco dragonfly SS, benchmade mini griptilian tanto, leatherman wave and leatherman micra.
If it was legal here I would have been EDC'ing a 9mm Glock 19 or 26 or Springfield XDM.
Oosh.. nice stuff you got there drool.gif I have a victorinox for more than 10 years now, real good stuff smile.gif. And yea.. I am considering a Leatherman wave at least biggrin.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif Need budget first biggrin.gif

Haha, maybe find a good knife and buy 1, so, if only 1 to buy, which one is the best, price medium lar.

I also like the bag you bought at Wangsa Maju, he sell that type too? haha, tumpang you buy again, if going to that place.
This is the persistance i bought: user posted image

Comparison with Persistance, RM180 (below) and Tenacious, RM200 (upper)

I think Qtrmaster will be bringing in Tenacious only, which is eta next week.

For the bag you've seen, it's a Magforce M-5 Waistpack, almost an exact replica of Maxpedition M-5 Waistpack, also have the same quality so it seems. I can show you more the next time we meet haha. Will let you know the price later. But you can also order the Maxpedition from Qtrmaster also. It is slightly cheaper. Don't think he's carrying stock and will have to order.

QUOTE(MetalZone @ Apr 29 2010, 12:45 AM)
As for leatherman... check out the Skeletool CX or Charge AL or Charge ALX... these have a 154CM plain edge blade (but 420HC serrated blade for the charge's and no serrated blade for the skeletool). The Charge TTi even has a S30V blade (one of the best stainless steel blade materials IMHO). The Wave's blades are both 420HC (pretty decent but not quite as good as 154CM and the others).

it's quite a grey area... http://z7.invisionfree.com/Malaysia_Knife_...php?showforum=7
just be sensible when EDC'ing a blade. any blade can be considered an offensive weapon in the eyes of a cop.
Thanks for this great info, will look up more info on the Skeletool. My plan for a leatherman is not so soon though smile.gif But I have a feeling, eventually, I won't be satisfied until I get one.. doh.gif

EDIT: Btw, about the knife safety stuff and our "grey area", don't worry. I have also other dangerous stuff than just a blade, so am not so lost in this area. From experience, I've caught in a real robbery situation years back and wish could have been more alert and prepared to avoid or overcome it. But using a knife as a self defense tool is a last resort IMO. Especially with a blade like this. Things can really get messy and might end up in a situation you don't want to be responsible for. After disengaging your opponent, you need to make police report know... lol

If you deliberately want to hike at night take some of the easier trails such as the one in Broga (called broga hill or bukit lalang). This one is fairly easy and I can lead you guys.
Ok, googled and found http://www.constantaperture.com/index.php/...a-hill-semenyih. Looks very nice and the view is meant to be admired in the day sad.gif But an excellent place to test HIDs drool.gif

Looks like we have two locations. I was thinking something nearer like Kiara Park, but Semenyih is a good option + We have a guide brows.gif (and to get metalzone to come tongue.gif ). What you guys think? Semenyih? It will require you guys to travel abit (est 1 hour drive from PJ or more), perhaps some organized convo or "see you there by 8pm"... Let's discuss thumbup.gif

Ah susuman, I tested your DX LifePO4 runtime on the Mini123 and it's similar as CEJ LifePO4. 29 mins until estimated 50% output and gradually dimmed slowly.

Oh, great, thanks.
Just measured, the Qmini is taking about 0.8A at 3.3V LifePo4, so its safely said it has around 400mAH. 1/3  of a primary CR123A , hehe.

Going to buy some more, interested?
Hehe, I have sufficient batteries for now smile.gif

I see you've put the clip on yours too. Our seems-to-be updated design don't have a wobbling clip effect that was reported in CPF. thumbup.gif
