QUOTE(old newspaper @ Apr 19 2010, 10:23 AM) which storm? my car or the light LOL, this is a good one, u got a light that has the same model name as your 4wheeler. Sorry won't be joining your XL100 Party QUOTE(polkiuj @ Apr 19 2010, 10:54 AM) Hi! Just found the tint difference between the cool and warm whites. Yikes! the warm on the MG L-mini II is too yellow. Look at how the green, yellow, pink and orange got washed out. Perhaps the proper warm would be something like the P91 Roughly only la since it's a slightly different tint. I downloaded this and printed out before: You can use your P91 and take a pic |

![]() QUOTE(MetalZone @ Apr 19 2010, 01:44 PM) IMHO, our eyes won't see what the camera sees with the white balance locked. Our brains have "automatic white balance" and I guess it won't look that bad in real life. Hey hey, welcome back |

Actually, both Fenix and EagleTac are around the same competitive level. Both of them can offer different UI and options for you. If there's a specific use you are looking for, you can ask and we can help you out

Well I got myself a SC50w instead
Doing runtime test for 50 mins (107 lumens with AA NiMH). Light is very warm to the touch, still kicking. I believe it won't be a problem until the battery drains down. Btw, congrats to all who have received your stuff from the previous GB. Grats Newspaper for another successful GB!!! Can't wait to check out your HellFighter |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Apr 22 2010, 09:24 AM) The SC30 is far hotter with a LiFePo than a SC50 with LiCo. =D Is the output the same? I know the H501w runs hotter on AA but has more output than LiCo, but runs cooler.QUOTE(RookieDaddy @ Apr 22 2010, 09:33 AM) another thing I like about these new SC models is it memorizes the individual mode selected (except SC50/w strobe). Very thoughtful design! I realise it only memorizes for a period of time. After that, it kinda reset back.. |

Hi, you have been using 2x RCR123 (8.4v) in the TK10? If you bought it from GW2U, you can send it back to get the parts replaced but at a cost, since more than 2 years. Or you can follow susuman's way of modding it yourself
Btw, my TK40 was probaby a "faulty" one already which seems to be fixed. While Rookiedaddy's one didn't had problems running at about 30mins on turbo.. |

The TK10 on normal mode shouldn't burnt like that, the heatsinking is more than enuf to dissipate the heat, you might only feel warm, even running down for an hour. What I believe is that your battery powered is over the specifications of 6v++.
A single 17670 battery would be better for the TK10 in the future, when you get it fixed EDIT: But 17670 won't be regulated very well.. hrmm.. 2x LifePO4 next time? This post has been edited by pseudoblue: Apr 22 2010, 12:42 PM |

QUOTE(moxie15 @ Apr 22 2010, 05:00 PM) just need to be more careful with my newer Soshine 700mA 3.7V RCR123(A) sku.13811, my bad... The soshine 3.7v has the same voltage as the AW RCR123 LightJunk used. Not sure then what might happened, could have ran it on turbo too long instead?Regarding your LED, you can push away the burnt stuff of your LED. I think it'll still light up |

QUOTE(jchong @ Apr 23 2010, 08:02 AM) Dang! Another light to check out. The D-Mini VX Ultra is smaller than the Thrunite Catapult, even with its 18650 tube and even more compact with its 123 tube. D-Mini does pack a punch in brightness for its size but good fo a short time, it has a wider beam and does not throw as well as the catapult. The catapult is brighter though.I am also looking for another compact hi-powered light (above 500 lumens). What do you guys think between the Lumapower vs Thrunite Catapult? Both using SST-50. GW2U will be bringing in Lumapower lights soon |
