You take the ~4.19V reading while cell still in charger or off charger?
Off charger. Sometimes one cell will show 4.18v, off charger and rested.

I can test next time if there's trickle charge smile.gif

Cool, your WF-139 charger is the updated one with no trickle charge and terminates correctly. Mine's still the old one though. It charged my IMR 18500s up to 4.32v the first time doh.gif AW did warned about the older charger having different termination point with different battery internal resistance rclxub.gif The IMR 16340 terminates at 4.22v, which was still "OK" according to AW (+/- 0.5v) specifically to IMRs.

Haha! There are no best and no bad either. Just what you need and one is not enough! LOL laugh.gif icon_question.gif sweat.gif

Hi arold88,

If you have a specific use, you can tell us and we'll help you. But for general purpose and would like to "finally own a real LED flashlight", here's some suggestion for you to look at around RM150 or below:

1) Fenix LD01 (3 modes) - 1x AAA battery = RM135
2) Fenix TK20 Neutral White (Dual mode) - 2x AA battery = RM175 (This light is like a tank, bigger in comparison with common 2x AA lights) - Check out comparison and detailed review http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=214890
3) EagleTac P100A2 Neutral White (Dual mode) - 2x AA = RM160 with standard kit
4) Fenix E05 (single mode) - 1x AA battery = RM80

My first "high-powered" LED light was a single AA, Fenix LD10 (RM200+ that time). I told myself that I will only need 1 LED light. Once you get the taste of its beauty, there's no turning back tongue.gif

I have more than 10 flashlights now, big, medium, small, with so many battery setups (18650, 18500, 17670, AA, 123) biggrin.gif Welcome to the hobby and interest for flashlights! They are not just for collection, shelf queens but they are real stuff, real tools smile.gif

Walter, nice layout recommendation with the battery setups smile.gif

I'm still a fan of the Quark Mini thumbup.gif

And well, you are officially had more than ten tongue.gif if you didn't sold off some of your lights brows.gif Eventually even now.. sure touch 10 one.. wahahaha!

Just an update. If you're having trouble remembering our long MYCPF link, you don't have to now. All you need to remember is mycpf.has.it and it will bring you to the forum wink.gif

Congrats pseudoblue! kudos to your contribution in managing the flashaholic community in Malaysia. When was it announced?
Thanks all, but no need announcement tongue.gif Just moderator only.

I'm trying to get to see if the forum can be opened for public viewing, so it's easier to link stuff to there, but only members can post. Until I get more info about Invision forums, I'm considering full migration of this thread to MYCPF. There'll be a thread with opened discussion like this, keeping the LYN spirit tongue.gif , while if you guys got your collection to post, stuff about battery tests and custom charging bays, custom mades, group buys and dealers info, there's specific sections for that so it doesn't clutter and it'll be easier to look for info. Don't worry, there's be a section we can still talk crap tongue.gif

Let's see how it goes biggrin.gif

If everyone is willing to contribute to pool a fund of RM150 a year I can construct a full fledged Invision power board (similar to LYN) with a *.com/*.net/*.org address. Unlike the free MYCPF forums, we can get the search function up etc.

Metalzone, comparing the layout and features I've seen for CPF Main, MYCPF, Invision/Zeta and LYN. LYN's IPB still the type I want. Can we settle on a Trial, and have it hosted on brightside.lumensreview.com? With craig's permission. Or register a domain thebrightside.com and host the site at lumensreview?

phpBB, myBB, SMF are the popular ones. + I have experience with phpBB and SMF.
I have experience with phpBB years back. It took me some time to get used to the Admin CP rclxub.gif However, invisionfree CP is alot simpler, I got it immediately biggrin.gif Anyways, MyBB seems to be okay, and I like that it can multiquote biggrin.gif blush.gif

craving for more now!!  no doubt the flash im using now is bright.. but i want something that can shoot super duper far.. can anyone recommend me a  flash light.. budged 500+/-  was considering tk40 but any better ones?
hows the catapult v2 compared to fenix tk40.. sorry im noob in flashlight but a hardcore wannabe haha pls enlighten me..
Heng84, the Thrunite Catapult with the SST-50 LED has received many good reviews and comments, and the price offered in this GB is very, very good, the original price is around RM500+ even after discount . You should take a dive on this

Here's an outstanding review on the Catapult by Selfbuilt = http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=252477

If you don't want to know all the tech stuff, just scroll below and read the Preliminary Observation biggrin.gif

EDIT: BTW, get the SMO reflector for your thrower needs biggrin.gif

Hey guys,

We.. have been busy for the past 4 days creating the New Bright Side Forum! rclxm9.gif Yes! A very big thank you to Craig (csshih) for allowing us to host our very own forum in his domain and helping us with the development.

Please check out the Administrative forum for updates and features available for the forum that we've been testing tongue.gif

Cheers!

And see you at our New Bright Side!!

Thanks LightJunk, it's a team work effort.

Btw, do start posting there, don't be afraid to create a post and start a discussion in the General Flashlights Discussion. It'll be easier to navigate into different posts with what you guys have discussed. Share your thoughts, latest flashlights, etc biggrin.gif

Flashlight Collection section is where you may list your collection, either by text or images wink.gif
