Boyz, after getting the Trustfire X8...really din expect it to be so high quality & so bright..In future, probably getting a much powerfull SST90 bin QUOTE(uncle wong @ May 23 2011, 02:46 PM) This post has been edited by stimix: May 24 2011, 03:54 PM |

Pure white. whiter than Lumintop TD15 and suprisingly can throw abit further than TD15. and overall much brighter than Lumitop TD15 by 1.75X based on my rough estimation
I din buy from Dealextreme but from Shenzhenwhoseller..cheaper there but basic unit without charger & batteries QUOTE(Proclaimer @ May 24 2011, 09:25 PM) |

If you google, yes you can find those 18650 NiMh battery although rare compare to LiIon. But those NiMh battery only 1.2V only wor compare to 3.6V on 18650..It will not be bright enough for current bright flashy

I have tried TK35 but only for a while. Too bad I hv not compare it side by side with my trustfire X8.
From the unfair comparison, TK35 is not really a thrower but it's flood. but the colour is more to orange green rather than pure white. Trustfire have a small super bright mid-focus and bright spill and therefore, throw very far. You can find the review between TK35 & trustfire X8 here...from what I see, TK35 having an edge. http://budgetlightforum.com/node/2373 |

You can get it in LYN street mart, lelong & even Mudah..the same person haha..operating inside Subang square
Added on August 6, 2011, 6:57 amLong time ago & I can't remembered liao. warranty claimed & replaced wth aurora..also forgotten what model dy but using Cree Q5 bin. C8 = XML-T6? If yes good buy but the only worry bcos of the quality.. looks good but do check whether water-proof or not and battery can really support the led.. QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Aug 5 2011, 05:05 PM) what model did you bought? does buying directly from DE much cheaper than our local dealers? By the way, just receive my C8. The build quality wasn't that bad like what people mentioned but would really like to join you guys for the next TT to see others light. Hope you guys dont mind though. This post has been edited by stimix: Aug 6 2011, 06:57 AMUpdate: just shop through DE and it seems that the price really cheap especially with the free shipping! This WF-503 bezel is so cool! |

Yeah same body as C8..That's the replacement for spoilt ultrafire years ago.
If C8 having R5, should be similar to my lumintop TD15 R5. not bad actually bcos R5 can throw abit further compare wth XML-T6 but still not as bright as Trustfire X8..BTW, that lumintop more expensive than Trustfire X8!...On your C8, check the o-ring covering the glass The aurora that I hv do not have any o-ring near the glass area and thus, Not water-proof! QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Aug 6 2011, 01:54 PM) Looking back at your collection picture, your aurora flashlight have the exactly same design like C8, except the color. But I saw that your aurora doesn't work anymore? Thought it would be great to clean the reflector to make sure it's dust free and damn those fine line scratches all over. |

Bumping this dying thread.
Only recently just to kill boredom and I found the technology of LED taking another leap. Previously one of the brightest LED in 2010-2011 - Trustfire X8 at 1000lumen.. already bypassed wth so many LEDs that can shined even brighter...now >8000lumen The one I'm eyeeing for is the Trustfire TR-J18 - 8000lumen but looking at the size of my current X8...Instead of looking for that giant size, probably smaller but capable of shining >2000 lumen such as skyray king or even Nitecore Tiny Monster Damn...just as about to retire and now the technology going further This post has been edited by stimix: Jan 11 2013, 09:19 AM |

QUOTE(zippolover @ Dec 17 2012, 05:01 AM) Like infrasonic im kinda curious, what is it about flash lights thats so interesting to you collectors? The cheap RM10 pasar malam police flashlite will not shine as bright of less than 10-20 lumen. They are using those cap ayam LED emitter of 1w to 3w and you really need to compare wth expensive lights using CREE emitters.. If I tell you even my 1000lumen Trustfire X8 shine brighter than my car headlamp you tak-kan percaya With that said I want one just because of a cool quote i read somewhere regarding light sources Can anyone recommend me a flashlight thats small enough to fit in my pocket, I'd prefer something really bright and not too expensive. Mostly going to use mine at night to see whats around me if that helps narrow down the choices |

QUOTE(xsaed @ Jan 14 2013, 12:48 PM) i concur. i bought LD01 based on stimix's recommendation... its truly helpful.. due to small size with higher lumens compared to pasar malam one. LD01 if using normal AAA -1.5V can only shined max 70+ lumen but once you change to Li-Ion battery wth 3.7V can go higher than 140lumen This post has been edited by stimix: Jan 14 2013, 02:20 PM |
