user posted image

Dunno will get true 1000lumen and probably 40,000lux similar to Eagetac m3c4 -xml...
Worry me: The built quality & the advertised figures..So far no youtube review I can find on this except the SST90 Trustfire X6

Pure white. whiter than Lumintop TD15 and suprisingly can throw abit further than TD15. and overall much brighter than Lumitop TD15 by 1.75X based on my rough estimation biggrin.gif ..

I din buy from Dealextreme but from Shenzhenwhoseller..cheaper there but basic unit without charger & batteries smile.gif Only ~US$37 nia rclxms.gif but after adding the battery & postage...price almost similar to Dealxtreme liao..I pay via paypal which is tagged to my CC smile.gif

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ May 24 2011, 09:25 PM)
The x8 looks good and cheap but i dont really like the tint. Dealextreme can use local creditcard to purchase?

QUOTE(porkchop @ Jun 28 2011, 10:44 PM)

I have tried TK35 but only for a while. Too bad I hv not compare it side by side with my trustfire X8.

From the unfair comparison, TK35 is not really a thrower but it's flood. but the colour is more to orange green rather than pure white.
Trustfire have a small super bright mid-focus and bright spill and therefore, throw very far.

You can find the review between TK35 & trustfire X8 here...from what I see, TK35 having an edge.

Honestly for AUD120, there are many kights that are brighter than 200Lumen. Go for those wth CREE R5 (>300lumen)or XML-T6 - (>700lumen)

You can get it in LYN street mart, lelong & even Mudah..the same person haha..operating inside Subang square

Added on August 6, 2011, 6:57 amLong time ago & I can't remembered liao. warranty claimed & replaced wth aurora..also forgotten what model dy but using Cree Q5 bin. C8 = XML-T6? If yes good buy but the only worry bcos of the quality.. looks good but do check whether water-proof or not and battery can really support the led..
QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Aug 5 2011, 05:05 PM)
what model did you bought? does buying directly from DE much cheaper than our local dealers? By the way, just receive my C8. The build quality wasn't that bad like what people mentioned but would really like  to join you guys for the next TT to see others light. Hope you guys dont mind though. biggrin.gif
Update: just shop through DE and it seems that the price really cheap especially with the free shipping! This WF-503 bezel is so cool!  smile.gif

Yeah same body as C8..That's the replacement for spoilt ultrafire years ago. blush.gif ..I think I topped up xtra US$10-US$15 to get a better than ultrafire light.. It's a thrower wth narrow beam ..well can throw very far but bcos it's too focus, it can't even beat Fenix P3D interm of flood. & thus not bright enuf for close area. Actualy not really spoil but the glass broke and later i fopund that it was not water proof too..damn..Trustfire is super duper tough & heavy light...yes it's water-proof for sure haha...Got it for ~ US$59 inc of 2 rechargeable Li-ion trustfire 18500 batteries...Super duper bright for sure and lumen reviewed and confirmed >1000 lumen rclxms.gif ...Almost similar to Trustfir X6 wth SST90 bin shocking.gif check here:

If C8 having R5, should be similar to my lumintop TD15 R5. not bad actually bcos R5 can throw abit further compare wth XML-T6 but still not as bright as Trustfire X8..BTW, that lumintop more expensive than Trustfire X8!...On your C8, check the o-ring covering the glass The aurora that I hv do not have any o-ring near the glass area and thus, Not water-proof!
QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Aug 6 2011, 01:54 PM)
Looking back at your collection picture, your aurora flashlight have the exactly same design like C8, except the color. But I saw that your aurora doesn't work anymore?  ohmy.gif Mine is the R5 led instead of XML-T6 though. Mind if I ask how much does your TrustFire X8 cost you? Looks durable especially with 2 o rings on each connector.

Thought it would be great to clean the reflector to make sure it's dust free and damn those fine line scratches all over.  sad.gif Will those fine line make any differences in the beam/reflected output? Do you think your aurora reflector will be the same as the C8 ones? If yes, do you willing to let go? It does bother me quite me abit.  sad.gif

My EDCs. Xeno E03 just arrived Today together wth 4 rechargeable Trustfire Li-ion 3.7V batteries (Intend to sell 1 pair of it smile.gif - excess dy)

Well, the LD01 running on rechargeable 3.7V can max >220Lumen super bright & much brighter than Fenix P3D QR5 bin that i sold.
and this latest Xeno E03 wth XML-T6 bin rated max 430 lumen i.e higher than my Lumintop TD15 and running only wth 1 14500 (AA) li-ion battery rclxms.gif There are lotsa review tested this exceeding 500 lumen rclxms.gif Well, after comparing wth Lumintop, Lumintop is very focus wth large spill but this E03 more flooding light. Ceiling bounce, Xeno win but on throw, Lumitop still better. blush.gif

Bumping this dying thread. biggrin.gif It's been more than a year I did not visit this thread..so quiet.. Seems like this hobby not so active. Well, I almost semi retire since my last purchased of Trustfire X8, Xeno E03, Lumintop TD15, and Fenix LD01.. ALmost complete from big gun to tiny keychain mosnter LD01 rclxms.gif

Only recently just to kill boredom and I found the technology of LED taking another leap. Previously one of the brightest LED in 2010-2011 - Trustfire X8 at 1000lumen.. already bypassed wth so many LEDs that can shined even brighter...now >8000lumen shocking.gif notworthy.gif

The one I'm eyeeing for is the Trustfire TR-J18 - 8000lumen but looking at the size of my current X8...Instead of looking for that giant size, probably smaller but capable of shining >2000 lumen such as skyray king or even Nitecore Tiny Monster rclxub.gif

Damn...just as about to retire and now the technology going further laugh.gif

QUOTE(zippolover @ Dec 17 2012, 05:01 AM)
Like infrasonic im kinda curious, what is it about flash lights thats so interesting to you collectors?

With that said I want one just because of a cool quote i read somewhere regarding light sources

Can anyone recommend me a flashlight thats small enough to fit in my pocket, I'd prefer something really bright and not too expensive. Mostly going to use mine at night to see whats around me if that helps narrow down the choices
*
The cheap RM10 pasar malam police flashlite will not shine as bright of less than 10-20 lumen. They are using those cap ayam LED emitter of 1w to 3w and you really need to compare wth expensive lights using CREE emitters.. If I tell you even my 1000lumen Trustfire X8 shine brighter than my car headlamp you tak-kan percaya biggrin.gif Well it's true.. Even my Tiny Fenix LD01 on Li-Ion battery can shined >100lumen output - 10X more than those pasar malam flashlite smile.gif

Uhh The Brightside forum? Dead also hmm.gif Unless candlepower or budgetlight? Anyway.. Eyeing on the 2650 Fenix TK75 too the brightest currently by them.. but not cheap..Well much more reliable & better build quality than those Chinamade cheap Trustfire or ultrafire for sure.. but less juice sad.gif

QUOTE(xsaed @ Jan 14 2013, 12:48 PM)
i concur. i bought LD01 based on stimix's recommendation... its truly helpful.. due to small size with higher lumens compared to pasar malam one.
*
LD01 if using normal AAA -1.5V can only shined max 70+ lumen but once you change to Li-Ion battery wth 3.7V can go higher than 140lumen rclxms.gif Doubed the performance of AAA. However very hot after a while and battery will drained off faster than AAA...Nice keychain EDC. I always used it in Pasar Malam and shiok comparing wth those Police Pasar malam RM10 flashlite.. The seller..sure ohmy.gif at my tiny light overperforming some of their even bigger Police biggrin.gif
