Damn, here I was saying "If it's 33% sales, I wait next sales, if it's 50% or more I get it".... and they decide to put it at 40% sweat.gif

Guess will wait tomorrow and think about it

Weird though since when I look at http://store.steampowered.com/cc=my

I see price as 23,99usd, same as in US blink.gif

Edit: well, that 17% would have made my decision easier though, I wouldnt buy it ^^

After more thinking I will wait for ME2 to be even cheaper.
Reason is, the version on Steam is the one without any DLC, so need to add that to the price too.

Guess I will see during Xmas sales

I find the sales on DAO disappointing personally, 25% on Xpac is fail in my opinion.

Guess will wait Xmas sales also for this, no way I pay 30usd for xpac only, I could have gotten ME2 yesterday for the same price...

Well if you want to help out Warren Spector, pick up a Wii and wait for Epic Mickey to come out.

Yes... Warren Spector's next game... is with Mickey... the mouse... From Disney... REALLY.

I'm RTS lovers....erm... maybe I should get..

Men of War is excellent but be warned it can also be a pretty hard game (even on Easy settings) and try to be "realistic" so it's not going to be stuff like Starcraft or Command and Conquer.

But some of the missions in the game are absolutely excellent, I got the xpac today too smile.gif

QUOTE(frags @ Jun 25 2010, 04:27 PM)
Let me rephrase my recommendation. If you play single player I think the game is okay since some of the missions are DAMN difficult. But the real fun of the game is in COOP. It makes the game more playable and fun. Since I now have a group of people to play the game with, I never bothered to play single player anymore(unless I'm bored or something). It's still difficult in coop but it makes a good game into an excellent one imho.
*
Haaa, ok, I played all solo myself and yar, some of the missions were batshit hard (even on Easy) but still overall pretty enjoyable and doable

I am kinda struck at the "Trap", the very last mission of the Bonus campaign which is really tough.

Coop might be quite enjoyable for this game yar, so if you have folks to play with it could be an even better value.

Solo, it's very good but you better be up for a challenge tongue.gif
Overall the game was a very good surprise for me as I did not expect it to be that good at all

QUOTE(Pangkey @ Jun 29 2010, 01:45 AM)
i bought CIV IV on yesterday sale. Today they having EU, hows EU compared to CIV IV.

If its good, i might consider getting it as well! haha
*
It's pretty different games really, if I were to explain both you would say it sounds the same but actually the mechanism are quite differents from each other ("Manage a Nation", "Conquer the World" etc.)

Have you ever played Paradox games before like Hearts of Irons? Or a previous XXX Universalis? They have shared mechanisms between the games so if you played one before, you could have a better idea how is EU.

I would say Civilization is easier to understand than EU, it's a bit more of a "niche" game.
They both have some good depth that can make it interesting.

One of the advantage of Civ that I can think of right now is that since it's a more "popular" than EU, there are lots more mods out, which some are totally awesome.

Both can suck up your free time totally though tongue.gif

If I purchase Europa 3 complete, should I purchase Heir to the Throne as well?
*
That's a good question I am asking myself too tongue.gif

I bought the "Complete" last time it was on offer 1-2 months back and now wondering if I should get Heir to the Throne too or not.

I think Frags may have bought it before, but not sure, maybe he can comment on HttT.

Thanks frags for taking time to write long reply smile.gif

I agree about the Paradox xpacs which tend to be quite pricey usually.

So from what you saying it seems that at 6,5usd right now it's quite an okey deal.... hum....
I will see how, if only to have the complete EU3 bundle

I have posted this few times before but here is my own experience:

I am using a French debit card to pay on Steam, with a Malaysian address (that I never bothered to change) and the country set as "china" since this is where I am living right now.

Steam does not give a crap about your address except from the "Country" and you ticking the "I currently live in the country above" checkbox.

You could put "65 street, lalaland" as address, a rubbish number for Postcode and City and it would not matter at all for Steam, I have a complete rubbish address for the past 1,5 year and never had a problem as long as I keep the "Country" setting as the country I am actually at the moment I buy (I travel around between Msia, China, HK and Europe).

BUT your bank may or not care about your billing address.
My French bank never bothered with it but I know some people here mentionned that if they do not put their real billing address, the bank may block the payment.
In this case the issue is with the Bank, not steam.

So if you want to buy from a game that is region locked from Steam you have 2 thing you need to check:

- Use a VPN to get an IP from a country where the game is not locked (Hong Kong or US for example).
Then when Steam ask you which country you are, put the country of the VPN

- Make sure your bank does not bother with billing address. I am not sure how to do this (maybe give them a call and check with them)

Or get one of the people here who does "region locked" game purchase service like Deimos.

But I am 100% sure Steam does not give a damn about your billing address, only the Country setting.
