QUOTE(ecaynemo @ Jun 8 2010, 05:00 PM) not so soon, they are still clearing off old stocks. No point buying old hardware since they'd announce iOS5 next year, maybe then some features might not be compatible. |

QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Jun 8 2010, 05:06 PM) ive used IS before with the white iphone 3g... and it'll tent to be yellowish after sometimes.... i think this alone will make me think of getting powersupport screen protectors for the front an back as well as bumpers, i also have some extra ipod socks that can be used to store the iphone 4 heheand it become so ugly... i decided to ditch the IS... |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 8 2010, 05:10 PM) @nimrod323, yeah i know what u mean, no hard case for me either, im just getting their RM69 Screen protectors, static peels for the front and back, hmm question is anti glare or glossy, especially with the new display sigh decisions, but i think i'll get bumpers hehe somehow it reminds me of the BB casing LOLAm not sure how the new PowerSupport casing's gonna work but I didn't like the old one; it tend to scratch the "metal" portion - that's what happened with my 1st i3GS; some minor scratches. I ended up using a leather slip-on case. Thankfully I used that cause hehe it's not gonna fit the iPhone 4 |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 8 2010, 05:18 PM) @dvlzplayground noted, okay anyways, whatever happened to the Verizon Iphone 4? there is no news of this at WWDC though the employees of Verizon did indicate something about launch in september, also i heard Celcom Axiata might be agreeing to sign a partnership with Apple, looking at the current trends it would be early next year for their offering. I think their 3.5G coverage better in places like Sabah and Sarawak especially It's definitely obvious - well, at least it was very obvious on my i3G Black. And as mentioned, let's stop discussing casing + screen protectors, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 8 2010, 05:24 PM) @nimrod323, read it up sometime in march IIRC, heres a link tho http://www.liewcf.com/celcom-iphone-malaysia-4924/. Well i however have some issues when i go back to my dad's hometown in Perak Tengah area, lol most to most its GPRS haha, although pretty much any major town along the PLUS highway has at least edge to 3.5G speed under maxis.Hmm.. Celcom's signing a deal for the iPhone too?! Oooh that would just open up more options but early 2011?! Er. might as well wait a while more for the refresh iPhone 5 Yes if you're in Sabah/Sarawak go with Celcom but otherwise if you're in Peninsula, Maxis is okay lah. I'm stuck in KL so no problem with whichever telco Btw where's the Celcom info from? |

QUOTE(c010 @ Jun 8 2010, 05:44 PM) Celcom will not jump into the iPhone pool simply because there are huge commitment to fulfill if they would take up the deal. further more, Apple's deal to Telcos is always favour to themselves. look at digi and maxis, both suffering from throwing money to advertise, packaging (plan) and worse still, slashing price now especially like Digi knowing that iPhone 4 is about to launch, yet they took the deal. maybe most of u guys do know that digi is trying to clear their stock asap by offering their staff to purchase at below cost price and also asking their staff to sell iphone plan to customer in order to get 1 free iphone for themselves. Maybe you might not know this, many manufacturers have the price protection policy, that is any leftover stock would be retuned back so that the TELCO's dont lose out, any Telco wont just sign up for apple knowing that they would lose out, think of it in this way app developers get a 70% cut out of app sales, whatever apple makes goes to maintenance of servers and service.Based on the article from the URL, Celcom's CEO never said anything about getting the deal signed. hence i dont think Celcom will jump into the pool any soon or perhaps never. Added on June 8, 2010, 6:05 pm QUOTE(Caveat Emptor @ Jun 8 2010, 06:02 PM) Hi anyone else using iOS 4 gm now? Just updated. But maxis simcard got problem have to take out and then put back after installing, before i finally got it to activate. the game center how does it work ![]() This post has been edited by nimrod323: Jun 8 2010, 06:05 PM |

QUOTE(Caveat Emptor @ Jun 8 2010, 06:44 PM) Was it stated in the Maxis EULA or iOS 4 GM EULA? Because i do not remember reading anything about voiding the warranty? And if some physical damage which is covered under the warranty happens, after restoration to 3.1.3, how would maxis staff be aware of the upgrade? im nt pointing this to DEVs lah abang, i meant the average users who dont know how to restore back firmware and stuff, its a maxis policy i think, heard of this case before from a staff. |

QUOTE(Shock @ Jun 8 2010, 06:47 PM) Iphone 4 definitely i like it. It much way more better than 3GS. Plan to get it as well developer seedlah, read my conversation with Caveat Emptor in its entiretyAnyway, upgrading the OS will void warranty? unless is physical damage and Jailbreak, i don't think warranty can be void by upgrading OS provided Apple. |

QUOTE(KannaSai1 @ Jun 8 2010, 06:53 PM) dude, we have said this in this subforum so many times already, the iphone will only get cheaper according to how much commitment you sign up with Telco M or D per month and also the number of years contract, otherwise dream on. Its all based on your monthly commitment, the higher the cheaper the cost or free to own iphone. |

QUOTE(yong_lc @ Jun 9 2010, 03:18 AM) come together. lets try to get consumer power to get iphone 4 for cheaper you know what you are the biggest idiot ever, if its too expensive dont by, its not a necessity for you, you wont starve if you dont have it and lastly stop giving the rest of us(Malaysian consumers) a bad name by your actions. Its like saying Diamonds are too expensive lets pressure Poh Kong or Habib Jewels to lesser the price, Consumer Power!!! Yada yada Yada.price. if we can get a list big enough/quantity enough... we as consumers might have the power to get it at a cheaper price. so lets start it. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1451320 Added on June 9, 2010, 9:43 am QUOTE(yanhui95 @ Jun 9 2010, 09:37 AM) read the FAQ in front please http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1381121#This post has been edited by nimrod323: Jun 9 2010, 09:43 AM |
