Tsk tsk.. so much news since this morning's WWDC and I'd been so bz I haven't had time to come in to check.

Ah well... for those who's talking about the FaceTime thingy - it's just gonna be time before they start opening this feature to uhm..... 3G network; seperti macam Skype lah.

The problem IMHO is that it's iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 so if you wanna use that, the other person needs to be using an iPhone 4 too!!!

So now.. more importantly, which colour do I want?!

Buying an iPhone has got nothing to do with the software & technology crap.  Simply it is 'THE' phone to be seen with, the 'IN' thing.  It is just like buying LV bags, going green etc etc

Assuming Maxis & DiGi both are gonna offer the iPhone 4, I don't think Maxis prices will be cheaper than that of DiGi.  It will always be premium pricing on Maxis, IMHO.

I can't wait till August - I want it as soon as it's released in AU/NZ! That way, I can start using it soonest possible

Yes correct - available only via WiFi network but am sure it'll be made available over 3G soon lah; maybe give it a year or two! LOL

Moving past the petty squabbles we're seeing here, I've read July 18th as the possible date for AUS launch. But looking at the calendar, it's a Sunday, and historically, no iPhone launch has ever been on a Sunday.

I've requested and blocked my roster for next month on the last three Friday-Sunday days, namely 15-17th/22-24th/29-31st for the estimated AUS launch. If I can, I'll even line up.

They wont, it's internal memo only, distributed so that they can at least arm their frontliners with some form of response should customers starts questioning them on the new iPhone. More like the standard response you'll get when you call Streamyx for package deals or when troubleshooting crappy connections.

about facetime, what really bothers me is that y only iphone4 to iphone4. special encoding? apple claims it's an open industry standard...does this mean other phones later will have FaceTime too? n how do we videocall ppl thru wifi...dial the num like normal? if facetime is so special, i find it weird how they didnt compare it to normal SE/nokia/samsung etc videocall over 3g. hopefully the quality is better. over wifi, shud be ichat-level quality i guess. but good thing i dun really videocall anyway heheh

Iphone4 scratch-resistant more likely, not scratch proof. Scratch it hard enough and it will still show.

LOL @ the 3d screen if like that i wont buy haha. still a gimmick la for now, damn useless

glass is harder to get scratched compared to plastic. but glass is more brittle :S not sure about this specialized glass
