It's an wedding band rather than proposal ring.

I have one and few of my friend has it.

I have 2 thoughts on this :
Purpose : Wedding ring

1. Buy from shop
2. Custom made one with similar design ( I know ppl doing gold )
- Purely made from Gold as I'm sensitive towards silver but paint to rose and silver

How was the ring after wearing few years .. As in worth getting ?

If you want to buy from shop, you're like buying the ring for the branding purpose only. Unless you're talking bout others like Poh Kong and etc.

As for custom make, no issue also. You just give them a design you like and you'll get a ring with better quality perhaps compared to commercial ones.

After few years ah? I am not sure about males one coz some of us don't wear it on a daily basis (Some hang inside shirt with a necklane or some sort).

But for female ones, I saw a couple of them who wears both engagement rings and wedding band for quite a prolong period but still looks nice.

Maybe you gotta send it for "maintenance" after a while but generally, since the engagement is already on a platinum band, it does not "dull" much compared to standard gold.

If you want BIG then go for lower colour n clarity...GHIK coloursStill quite common..

If you want WHITE DIAMOND then go for DEF Colours hence E is a good colour..

If your GF collects diamonds then she would prob want the best D FL / IF

Personally i would only go for DEF colours n IF or VVS1/VVS2 but of course it comes with price tag

To be frank a lot of girls dont know bout diamonds so go for DEFGHI colours (so that your diamond doesnt look yellowish)
and
Clarity u can go for lower than u save more money.. VS2 is fine.. its not obvious to the naked eye.. only if u do it 10X u will see the flaws.. Most girls wont care..

So u need to ask if your future fiance is diamond savvy?
if she isnt u can sacrifice on the clarity go for VS2 then u can save more money n go for bigger carat size and colour..
Some girls dont even care about colour of the diamond ..
i have a fren who got a K colour VS2 1 carat but looks yellowish in pictures..but she likes that its BIG ..

Normally diamonds below 0.30 carat has no certification. No serial number. You just have to trust the jeweller for the colour, clarty etc..
with a cert its a peave of mind of what u are getting.

Go to Wah chan midvalley or one utama ..choose your own diamond and choose ur own setting.. can get 3-4k

What about My Diamond and SK? I saw they put on promo banner sometimes, from 2099 or smtg, but didn't go in and ask cz gf is around. Are these 2 brands good?

I have friends buy from these brands before.. but if u start to study about diamonds u can compare lets say for same specs lets say 0.30 D VS1 n u go to few shops n ask how much it would cost .. Wah chan is consider one of the cheapest .. however if u are looking for brand then u can go for others ..really depends ur gf is brand conscious or want a better quality diamond.. i have frens buying from wah chan 1 carat diamonds coz they are cheap.
If you want a professional advice from a certified GIA gemotologist ..i would recommend look for this" I DO jewellery " on facebook. She doesnt have a physical shop but she is quite well known in the industry . its recommended by my frens n Ling is a very good in choosing the best diamonds . me n my frens buy from her.
