Nice!!! V nice!!

I'm planning to propose soon... am looking at Lazare... still not very sure which one to get though...between Lazare and Forevermark.

well I go for the quality of the stones not the brand name.
my spouse has a F color, ideal cut, VVS2, 0.51ct stone on plat ring from a online store, wedding ring (eternity band) from T&C (ouch) and a simple plat ring from bluenile.com.

5k budget if u want a Plat ring that will eat up like 80% of the budget leaving no room for a stone.
U may want to get white/yellow gold and get a nicer stone.
U maybe looking at ~0.3ct, G/H color, VS1 or VS2, excellent or ideal cut.

don't know buying online is taxable, but prices are generally better online even after shipping.

am sure not going for Plat ring as budget matter. most prolly will be going for white gold. but the thing is usually we buy the stone first and get the jeweler to design the ring afterwards? or just buy a ring which already with the stone?

abit confuse. rclxub.gif

There is HCA too
http://www.diamond-cut.com.au/holloway_cut_adviser.htm

some white gold ring is Rhodium plated and the prong is plat, making the ring looks better. little touches.
GIA vs AGS.. what is excellent cut in GIA vs ideal cut in AGS.

Tiffany - that style 6 prong style

Hi All,

i plan to get a propose ring.. but out of so many jewellery shop in MY & SG, i have 4 shop in my mind.. but i not sure which 1 carry more reliable stone. hope you all can give me some advice.

shop in my mind as below:
Lee Hwa @ SG - they have Destinee series
Sookee Jewellery (Brilliant Rose) @ SG - i haven't visit the 1 at Pavilion.
Gold Hearts @ SG - they have Celestial series which MY dun have
Love & co @ MY - nothing much special.
DeGem @ MY - they are doing GIA promotion now.

as my understanding, Lee Hwa, Sookee Jewellery, Gold Hearts are quite established company in SG, but how bout DeGem? because the price they offer me now is really tempting

just a personal view....

its not like your future wife gonna compare her ring with her friends all the time.
so without diamonds placing side by side for comparison viewing,
therefore, its physical size & color is hard to tell.

i'd say buy the rock with 1st priority on its Size and fits within your budget.
normally girls likes it big....

Yes. Stone and ring sold separately .
As tiffany setting they showed me was the 4 Trong type. Solitaire ring.

The stone is value for money in my opinion. Compare to the offer by tomei, habib is selling cheaper by 1.5 to 2k.

Saw a few stone which I will summarise here.

0.34c, F, VS2, 3ex =rm 2999
0.40c, E, S1, 2ex, 1vg =rm 4888
0.40c, G, S1,3ex = rm4400

Will need bigger ring for 0.4c stone. Basically, u can conclude that 0.3c ring cost you around rm500, 0.4c will ost you around 1k.

U replying to a 2010 post about 4 yrs late.
States standard is min 1ct stone, but many shine yellowish or blue yucks.

It really depends on individual some quality over size.

This retailer down south is extremely popular

Must ppl trust u?

States as in usa, ppl believe the cost of a ring is min 3x ones monthly income b4 tax

Want to ask you all , which brand of Diamond ring is better ?
I saw a lot of ppl taking about DeGem . Is it good in term of quality, price and style?
I am from Penang and there are no DeGem over here.

DeGem and DP are from the same parent company. In short they are targeting different range of clients. DeGem diamond (Lazarre - known as one of the famous diamond) is way expensive than DP (Foremark and Estrella).. If you have more budget (>RM10K) then you may consider DeGem.
