how bout Wah Chan, Tomei or Poh Kong?

Tomei is selling Le Lumiere which i find cheaper than Degem / D&P for the so called perfect heart / arrow series, 7k you can get a decent 0.4c

Below my finding after half a day walking in and out at MV

I would go for lower level grade.
Went to DP , Foremark and EStrella .
Foremark - International brand ?
Estrella - Local brand ?
How will you all comment between this two different brand from DP ?

The likes of estrella and lazarre are selling the concept of perfect cut or perfect arrow if I get them right.

Forever mark as I understand does not emphasize on that thus if you compare stones with similar 3c (carat, colour and clarity), there is a premium for estrella over FM.

If you are not sensitive to the cutting then based on the feedback here just get it from wah chan. Frankly I catch no balls as well and feel it is more like a "feel good" factor. Unless the stone is big else for me it is really hard to differentiate. So ultimately I decided I would purchase based on facts which is the numbers. (With cert, good HCA score and good numbering on table, angles & etc. No feather as part of the inclusions) Unless you are telling me your wife wish to see the stone via a scope everyday.

I get a quote from SK for 0.2 carrat, S1, D for a cost of RM2700...
is it OK?

0.2 is quite small, u might as well top put a bit more about 3k plus to get 0.3 gia diamond from wah chan or habib with lower clarity. For me, Anything lower than SI2 is no good.

I will pay a visit to WAH CHAN later to check on their selection.

Maybe just get one with my budget as I already have a gold wedding ring as well..

Take GIA as some kind of verification party. Any tom, d***, harry can send a diamond to GIA for grading.

As a start you may use the HCA tool to judge the stone. Try looking for score below 2.0 as your first rejection tool. Then everything else really depends on you. Some of these properties might make the stone look smaller than it is actually is.

Frankly I would avoid Lazo, it is just me with their brand image so judge wisely. Maybe try paying a visit to other jewellers to have a better idea.

Actually, if you really think about it, RM2.7K is quite worth it....cuz for me ring is just a ring, but the memories that I can build from using the extra cash is what she and I will carry for a very long time...

Wah Chan and Habib do have alot of choices, but I feel is too commercialize, feel like everyone get the same treatment, nothing special. And vennese diamond give a very nice box for the diamond!!! Comes with the mini magnifying glass
