I'm not planning to o/c my ram. I can o/c my proc by adjusting multiplier...so my ram will run at ddr400. Just wanna know wat is the default timing for this ram.
I previously using apacerddr400 512M cl2.5, thats why feels downgraded when use 2GB cl3 tongue.gif

The timing is normal. Dont worry.

My Bt-D43 tops out at 255mhz. He wont go up anymore, maybe i'll cook it longer and see how it goes.

3-3-3-8 @ 255mhz with 2.658v is considered nice, mine on 3-4-4-10 @ 255mhz with 3v for cooking purpose. Maybe i can tight the timings later on. Hopefully. sweat.gif

To me i prefer Abit and Asus mobo than Gigabyte. I'll choose Abit KN8, if can take KN8 Ultra.

I cook using F@H, coz it wont stress the ram too much and slowly make it cook. Memtest is just to test if there's any error with the rams. CPU Burn-in in the other side is a good software to use but it would make ur pc laggy so its not advisable. The best would be F@H client.

p/s: Join me Folding, u can help find cure for protein related desease and the same time cook the rams. brows.gif

if F@H, I'm already in... hehehehehe
However, whether the GUI or TEXT-BASED client will 'cook' more?

It would be the same, i use text console coz the GUI one uses more memory.

Your mobo is limiting it, unless u can find a modded bios then u have to live with it. Running low mutil with high fsb wont gine any good news also ?

Hey D43 kakis my DT - D43s are able to run at fsb 250 @2.85v timing 3-3-3-8 . Ive read that u guys are able to push to 255 or 265 at tight timings . Am i able to achieve such feat? do i need heat spreaders? already running for 1 mnth or so.

I'm using 2x 512 btw.

Maybe u can get it but there's no guarantee that u can get the same results. The best way is to test it yourself and see how far u can crank the mhz. D43 timing cant be tighten that much, the best would be 3-3-3-8 or 3-4-4-8. For some D43's ecen cl2.5 wont make any differences with cl3, so u need to test it yourself because there no same ram module. Every module is different in overclocking and speeds and timings depends on how u set it up. Try to use 1T , 2T , CL2.5 , CL3 and see how. Happy clocking.

mine use 1gb ct-d43 i know thats not such great
compare dual 512mb cause i had only 2 slots
but i get new timing

ddr 333 , ct 1 , didvider 3
timing 2.5-3-3-6
274 x 9 = 2.47ghz (9 is max multiplier in my mobo)

my rig amd64 754 2800(2.74ghz) 37%oc
