the timing is default one. i never modify it. just pushing step by step until max FSB. the max is 226 FSB error-less & benchable. might prob at vdimm as i have not increase it. mine is double sided ddr400.

Yup. When i'm set timing 2.5-4-4-8 260mhz 2.8v, Memtest no problem but when loading windows got restarted again. sweat.gif  Now using 2.5-4-4-8 250mhz 2.7v  thumbup.gif
*
i think u need to use divider since ur RAm kenot do 1:1 at high FSB
using divider able to get higher clock speed thumbup.gif

*
wakakaa..
KVR able to handdle up to 3.3V. u can see the voltage from its sticker there.
better use the heatspreader rather than ramsink. any brand can make but i recommended those Vantec or CM heatspreader user posted image

Nice ones gengstapo. Memory controller do play a part here, 280mhz on a opteron is something that u can expect. Ive seen D43's hit 285mhz too if im not mistaken, btw nice clocks on the opteron too. brows.gif
*
thanks bro smile.gif
actually im more interested wif the vcore. my lastime opty 170 can do onli 2.66Ghz@ 1.5v which i think the vcore is high enuff for an opty family. got this 146 after sold-out my 170 laugh.gif

Owh, why sell the dual core opty ? Not good enough ? Ive seen ppl with dual core opteron that clocks the most around 2.6ghz which i think reaching the limit already. Is that the reason u choose 146 rather than 170 ?
*
yeahh.. u got me ady. mine max can reach onli 2.7Ghz@ 1.5v
so, i dont think its a gud setup running for 24/7. wif my current 146, i can clocked is to 2.85Ghz@ 1.37v, 24/7. only limitation of my RAMs actually since when i try higher, even raise the vcore, its still unstable. like u mentioned earlier, BT-D43 might clock highest at 285HTT probably. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Well, even a dual core proc with lower 150mhz doesnt satisfy u ? I think it should suffice the 150mhz handicap with a 2nd core. brows.gif

well, my desired kenot be fulfill wif 2.7Ghz. itchy to touch 3.1Ghz barrier. hope my incoming samsung base RAMs can help me-out. sweat.gif laugh.gif

there was alot performance RAMs out there that suit for u.
its not the matter of brand but more to type of chippy they used for the RAMs.. samsung chipset r superb when u want it running on lower voltage at higher HTT/ FSB.
