Mine can do 250mhz at 2.5-4-4-11 timings with 2.9v but got error when i do memtest last time.. guess mine are bad sticks but still considered ok coz can go 250mhz. I know someone with 512mb d43 which are double sided that can go 255mhz at 2.5-3-3-11 with his nforce2 setup. A nice fsb n timings i can say.. I didnt know d43 are still rams that ppl are searching..

Calvin : To fix this prob u have to downclock somehow..

evilhomura89 : Which one better? It depends on the stick itself. Even BH5 have bad sticks so it depends on ur luck.

It shouldnt be a problem UltramanToron since these Hynix chips max out with only 2.9v vDimm. Anything higher wont make any differences.

Its better to use 1:1 because nForce2 doesnt like dividers at all.

The timing is normal. Dont worry.

My Bt-D43 tops out at 255mhz. He wont go up anymore, maybe i'll cook it longer and see how it goes.

3-3-3-8 @ 255mhz with 2.658v is considered nice, mine on 3-4-4-10 @ 255mhz with 3v for cooking purpose. Maybe i can tight the timings later on. Hopefully. sweat.gif

To me i prefer Abit and Asus mobo than Gigabyte. I'll choose Abit KN8, if can take KN8 Ultra.

I cook using F@H, coz it wont stress the ram too much and slowly make it cook. Memtest is just to test if there's any error with the rams. CPU Burn-in in the other side is a good software to use but it would make ur pc laggy so its not advisable. The best would be F@H client.

p/s: Join me Folding, u can help find cure for protein related desease and the same time cook the rams. brows.gif

It would be the same, i use text console coz the GUI one uses more memory.

Your mobo is limiting it, unless u can find a modded bios then u have to live with it. Running low mutil with high fsb wont gine any good news also ?

Maybe u can get it but there's no guarantee that u can get the same results. The best way is to test it yourself and see how far u can crank the mhz. D43 timing cant be tighten that much, the best would be 3-3-3-8 or 3-4-4-8. For some D43's ecen cl2.5 wont make any differences with cl3, so u need to test it yourself because there no same ram module. Every module is different in overclocking and speeds and timings depends on how u set it up. Try to use 1T , 2T , CL2.5 , CL3 and see how. Happy clocking.

Nice, but i think even with a 1:1 divider u can get it flying high.

What you're trying to say is you're planning to get another 512mb module ? Get the same speed rating, timings wont matter that much as they would adjust it to be sync.

QUOTE(gengstapo @ May 19 2006, 09:21 AM)
wat is the highest ever this BT-D43 can go?? last nite just tried it out & currently i can get 275HTT x10@ 1CPC, vcore 1.5 & vdimm 2.7.. but then i kenot dare to push my processor vcore higher since i stressing it already reach 59c cpu temp sweat.gif sweat.gif

ps : it was made by Kingston in year 2001 & another in 2003. currently running at 270Htt x10, timming 3-4-4-8@ DDR450, vdimm 2.7(2.6 kenot boot)
*
Nice one, some ppl even get it to run at 280mhz with loose timings. Maybe u need to burn in the rams in order to get higher speeds. Slowly burn it and maybe u can get nice hertz. thumbup.gif

Nice ones gengstapo. Memory controller do play a part here, 280mhz on a opteron is something that u can expect. Ive seen D43's hit 285mhz too if im not mistaken, btw nice clocks on the opteron too. brows.gif

Owh, why sell the dual core opty ? Not good enough ? Ive seen ppl with dual core opteron that clocks the most around 2.6ghz which i think reaching the limit already. Is that the reason u choose 146 rather than 170 ?

Well, even a dual core proc with lower 150mhz doesnt satisfy u ? I think it should suffice the 150mhz handicap with a 2nd core. brows.gif

Hehe, TCCD's or UCCC's ? Nice bet dude. I think Micron chips almost like TCCD's mhz craze. Not sure if its 5B or what, forget already. sweat.gif

QUOTE(jsnkok @ Jun 10 2006, 01:01 AM)
got a pair of ctp-d43 kvr here. its kinda weird since:

466@2.5-4-4-8 2.7V memtest pass
470@2.5-4-4-8 2.8V pass
470@3-4-4-8 2.8V fail
*
Yeah, it is weird sometimes but i think its okay. Some ppl pass memtest without error when they decrease their Vdimm. Maybe you can try that to increase the mhz and somehow pass the memtest.

QUOTE(Evil Oracle @ Jun 10 2006, 03:20 AM)
MINE USE SAME RAM BUT 1 STICK 1GB
OC TO 38%
RESPECTIVE TIMING
2.5-3-3-6
ddr 333 losse da speed
274 x 9 =2.47 (9 my max multiply my mobo)
my rig
amd 64 758 2800 (2.48ghz)
mobo abit nforce 3
*
For sure a DDR333 (166mhz) would lose to a DDR548 (274mhz) regardless of the timings. The higher the clock, the higher the bandwidth you can get. At 274mhz (DDR548) what timings do you use ?

470 is the max it will go... kinda disappointing for me though.. 1st time playing with hynix rams
*
Dissapointed ? Hynix chipsets are used on a Value Rams, what can you expect ? For the penny spend i think its worth it. Maybe if you want better rams you can get OCZ, Mushkin Rams as they are handpicked and they guranteed the performance.

QUOTE(plankton @ Jun 10 2006, 01:43 PM)
if the mem passes memtest, but running prime95 fails, then does it mean that the vcore needs to be pushed? or do i need to up the vdimm? im using hynix btd43's btw
*
What Vdimm ? What speed ? What timings ? We can help you if you posts more information regarding your rams setup.
