Hi
So Arxtech and Panther is different? Can you PM the quotation of casement window with mesh? Just want a rough idea how much
*
Yes, Arxtech And Panther are both different supplier but if u r saying about the mesh window they r providing, I would say they r quite close (to me).

Panther more focus on mesh window but if u wan casement window, they hav too but juz lesser choice of customization like glass type and frame colour.

There r some difference in both locking system, both r secure multi locking point and hidden hinge but i think panther's slightly more secure (for the deluxe or upgraded lock version). But there isnt any lock that cant b picked.... it is juz matter of time. So, choose which that u r comfortable wif. n yes, some other supplier hav visible hinge outside but their explanation was their hinge r made solid and it wont b a wise choice to break the hinge.... hmm.gif

Arxtech they hav the curve cover casement which if ur window area doesnot hav enuff depth for mesh window to be install and end up the case will not be flat wif ur wall (extra out), it is curve shape (the time when i survey early this year, most supplier does not hav this option.... mostly square type which will cause the edge to stick out if not flat to the wall.....)

n yes, like apalexar mentioned, arxtech used thicker mesh wire which is 1.0~1.2, while panther has the option of 0.9 or 1.2.... depends on ur location of fixing. Windflow and light, will definitely reduce if u use mesh, but for the safety, bugless, easy cleaning (with vacuum or water spray) advantage.... n if u hav the budget to do it.... i mean why not?!

Both supplier hav 2 in 1 casement setting which if u hav new window, u can juz put 1 casement tat fits both window n mesh.... and it needs at least 6 inches of wall depth.

Both service r great, u can talk to their sales person and tell them ur concern n they will answer u.

For deluxe mesh casement window around 105/sqft before 20% discount, and to get 20% total order before discount should above 15k. Got the deal before metal price is increase, not sure if they still having same promo not.
1. Edges of mesh frame are quite sharp if without sanding it, it's not that difficult so I do it myself with a sandpaper.
2. Some screws found below mesh frame part are not smooth to the frame surface level, not that obvious though.
3. There's still some tiny aluminium residues found at installation area even they had tried to clean it with their own vacuum.

Already give feedback to their sales so hopefully they improve those I mentioned in future, anyway quite satisfied with their products which give premium look and safety. smile.gif

no grille or not depends alot on the security of that area. if it has a relatively peaceful neighbourhood with a good built in community or security, i dont see why not. alternatively u can use other soft method like cctv or alarm to deter break ins as well. a connected system to your mobile that alerts your phone would enable you to call the security to come to your house and check in case anything happens.

powder coated mild steel or Stainless steel will be good enough.

aluminium waste of money I think, if the grille is supposed to be your security barrier. https://www.rsgsecurity.co.uk/blog/more-faq...uminium-grilles

that 5k should cover main door and all windows easily, exclude balcony multi doors

Hi sis, may I ask is your grille by ThreeKim last after intact with rain water?
Im still puzzling should I go for zinc aloy security door or just classic grille+plus sliding or wooden door here.
I've read somewhere else say that rain pour is a great killer to powder coated mild steel, anyone share some opinion about this? Thanks.

Technically its my main door grille for apartment.. too poor to afford landed sad.gif it is still in pristine condition, only thing that happened it collected dust only.

Powder coat when done correctly is one of the best coating coz its electrostatically applied. thumbup.gif Its used in lot of commercial appliances/lab machine outer boxes too.

Can ref https://www.thomasnet.com/articles/custom-m...powder-coating/

Whether you need a grille vs security door.. that depends on the level of ghettoness/Not-For-Human-Live-One index of your house tongue.gif

got quote for grilles as below for around 1600, is it reasonable?

powdered coated 2400 x 1150, SHS 20mm x 20mm x 1mm

i know other factor such as lock and hinge also affect the price, but i want to know a estimate figure for above size.

Looks like a bit on high side.
Should be 1.2mm material for that price bracket.
Get a few quotes to get a feel for pricing. U can contact threekim.

Hi may I know the average market price for stainless steel grill per sqft

Excludes installation and transport?

I believe the price of the grill per sqft depends on the gap and interval of the hollow sections right?

Any recommended installers for banting area? Thanks

Engaged 3kim for a quotation for condo grille door. The price is like 1.5k++ while the quotation i got from others contractor are mostly 900 ish or at max 1.1k
The different is like 50% higher from 3kim. Is it really worth it if were to go for 3kim.

Any other recommended grille contractor for grille? Appreciate ktards....

I don't see why not. It's just net with double sided tape. A lot people also diy. Even the magnetic one can diy. Of course there is always the option to hire ppl to do it for u also. But putting a net will cut your airflow rate. Keep this in mind. It act like a barrier to slow down the wind speed.
