OK, but the problem that I have with the screen cutting out happens when I am watching a HD channel and not touching the remote.
*
this could be the cable contact problem, try to re-seat power plug and HDMI plug properly, that is to insert all the way in but don't force it too hard brows.gif

but if want to display 1080i/720p HD signal to both HDTV, you would need a HDMI splitter with own power supply

MEASAT will provide Astro with up to 13 Ku-Band transponders on the
MEASAT-3 spacecraft, representing just over one quarter of the satellite’s communication
capacity. The agreement, which extends over the satellite’s operational life is valued at USD381
million.
so if each transponder can carry 12 SD channels, then total capacity is 156 channels, how many channels do we have now?

astro's business is booming LOL

quoted from "FULL YEAR RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT (for financial year ended 31 January 2010) "
QUOTE
Astro TV Chief Executive Officer Dato' Rohana Rozhan said: "Astro TV achieved an EBITDA of RM846 million or margin of 29% for FY2010, which is the highest ever in our company's history. This may be attributed to a strong execution of our operating plans and disciplined cost controls. We recorded 284,000 net additions, bringing our total customer base to 2.93 million. The response to our High Definition services continues to gain momentum, and we plan to introduce new offerings such as Digital Video Recording, VOD/NVOD and IP connectivity.
wow almost 3 mil astro subscribers

Hi guys, just installed byond, and i have a question. I have a few HD TV, the one connected to the decoder of coz very clear, coz using hdmi cable. But, is it possible to make other tv also playing hd quality? coz when i use other tv, i only can watch standard quality.
*
of cause it is possible, just get yourself a HDMI splitter, make sure it has its own power supply, it can then replicate byond box's HD signal to multiple HDTV, all showing in HD resolution drool.gif

sun spot activity going to peak in 2012, may be this is affecting the satellite

another interference is sun outage:
QUOTE(Radio-Electronics.com)
For geostationary satellites, solar outages occur around the equinoxes, i.e. March / April and then again in September / October. At these times of year the Sun crosses the equator and it traces an arc that places it directly behind geostationary satellites.

from your youtube you are using old decoder

what is the signal quality? are you sharing dish via splitter?

looks like cable problem, change the RG-6 cable and/or re-terminate F-connectors, make sure f-connectors are screw tight on the lnb and the decoder
