thanks for your input aspire.
which is why i think i might wait for 4g to release and 3gs drop price then i will get 3gs. hehe.
browsed through the apps in maemo.org but i still think apple apps are more fun.
If 4G is release, I doubt you will want 3gs?
3gs to 4g is like a total change afaik, unlike 2G->3G->3GS.
Who knows, later there is 4GS?
Anyway, more importantly,... one must know the iPhone battery is not easily replaceable... Watch YouTube, you need to dismantle everything, the LCD, the mainboard... Think about it... the battery probably might last up to 1.5 years, or even less, base don usage (or if lucky, longer).
I also found out the iPhone's LCD replacement cost over RM1000.
If you jb your iPhone, say goodbye to the warranty. If you don't jb and wait after 1 year (warranty over), then you have to worry when's the battery will give way just when you started enjoying jb.
But if you don't mind all that, then go for it. It does have a lot of nice apps, no doubt. I like the apps/games for iPhone, but the phone itself is simply too expensive, other competitors are far better yet priced a lot cheaper. I did consider getting one for the apps/games, but if I were to pay so much just for the apps/games, probably I just get myself a PSP + Nintendo DS and I still have money to spare. Besides, if it were not jb, I need to pay for the apps/games again, and imagine how much you've paid for the phone... and iPod Touch similar spec with 3GS can't be jb.
Headache, N900 better, no such thing as hack/jb. It's a REAL SMARTPHONE/COMPUTER, when you buy a computer, you don't have to jb/hack it to see the system files or install stuffs. Imagine you paid so much, but get so much "restriction", hm... doesn't sound right to me. Why am I charged so much for getting restricted access?
Every phone has it's pros and cons, most important is to know the pros as well as the cons, and if you accept it, happy with it.
