yeah. currently n900 doesn't support USSD function.
but you still can use this widget.

http://maemo.org/packages/package_instance...widget/0.1.7-0/

i tested it and yeah, it works with my hotlink simcard.

but if you unsure to install the widget. fear no more.
the PR1.2 has its update on it. The update is soon. I think.

//PS:If you noticed. The update is in extras-testing. Not extras-devil. So it's 98% perfectly safe.//

Original set was launch on 27th March 2010 with limited units in selected nokia stores. So for original to be appear on sales on garage sales chances are slimmer

The official price is RM 2,280. So, you can draw your own conclusions as to what's actually cheap tongue.gif

Hey there, there's no MMS support for the Nokia N900 right now. That's why it won't work.

Inside FMMS. Click on the MMS tittle. Make sure your Maxis MMS in Internet Setting already configure. Mine is celcom.

  • Caps Lock: If you want to use capital letters not only at the beginning of a sentence, lets say for a headline, press two times on the shift key, and it will turn on the Caps Lock. To turn off, just press the Shift key again.

  • The same can be done with the secondary keys, which are accessed by pressing the blue arrow, the “Alt” key. Press two times and lock the blue symbols and numbers. To turn off, just press “Alt” again.

  • To access the Additional Symbols Menu just press “Alt” and “Ctrl” at the same time. From there you can insert symbols, that are not found on the keyboard.

  • Highlight text from websites in the browser: Swipe your finger from the left site of the screen. A white arrow will appear. Tap on this symbol and you will get the “Mouse” arrow like you are used to on your personal desktops. With this function you can copy and paste text from websites for example.

  • Scrolling in the browser is also possible with the Space Key of your keyboard. This will automatically move the page several rows down. Of course the Arrow Keys can be used to scroll down slow, line by line.

  • You have heard of the browser history, which is activated with a swipe from the right of your screen, being in the browser. But maybe you haven´t heard about pressing the “Back” button on your keyboard, which instantly brings you back to the previous page.

  • If you have multiple tasks open and you want to go to the Multitask View of your phone fast, use “Ctrl” and “Back” at the same time. This will bring up your open applications thumbnails instantly.

This is also one important thing Nokia Malaysia/Singapore missed out and never prepare for. For official set, they should understand every shortcomings of the phone such as this important one and let the customer know and what they can do, or provide the app for them, the USSD widgets.

Suppose if PR1.2 have solved this, then probably they rushed it.
PR1.2 have solve many bugs and several improvements, even the User Guide/Manual have added many things. At first, I thought they would wait for PR1.2 before they launch here, but seems not the case. Probably in order to compete in the market (since Milestone and X10 launched too), they decided to just get over the PR1.2 update?

They're talking about fMMS, which is a third part app for sending/receiving MMS.

Just download the whole map files to N900 storage using Nokia Map Loader from your PC.
