Means can upgrade 2GB ram without void the warranty ?? Plz advice me,thank you. Or let say anything wrong i jst put back the ori 1GB ram to send for service jst in case ?

be sure you keep your original ram when you wanna go for servicing incase they blame your "new" ram for damaging your laptop. got few cases happened before.

All my hp computers rams n hdds changed. No prob when send for service. Even lenovo no prob.

Can,software will not void the warranty. I think really diff people carry out rules and regulation in diff way. I called up HP they say its okay if i install 3rd party hardware,even if the compatibility issue such as if 3rd party hardware contradict with the HP hardware,thn the laptop warranty remains,but only 3rd party warranty for 3rd party hardware,HP warranty for HP hardware. So they say i can go ahead upgrade,but be careful when 1st time pry the back cover plate as there is latches beside,i duno where cz i nvr open before. They tell me the laptop only support up to 1GB max only,and they do not wan to confirm can install 2gb anot as only state it might affect the perfomance of the laptop,which may be a destructive manner like contradiction. I read a post someone state that after install 2GB ram on the laptop and cant bootup after that. He tried taking the ram out and install again,some way he manage to boot it up back,so i really duno also,imagine after put in 2GB ram more trouble comes up,kenot use laptop for some time.

perhaps the 'someone' installed a 667mhz ram? i had mine 2gb 800mhz so far been a mth running still good.

hmm i think i ll juz stick to 1ghz.

I bought my mini from keypoint, the warranty for 2nd, 3rd year cames from insurance

from BIOS if hv 2 1gb it will shown each de .. then total 2gb if not mistaken ~
