be sure you keep your original ram when you wanna go for servicing incase they blame your "new" ram for damaging your laptop. got few cases happened before.

Haha, means i just put back the original ram before i send for warranty service rite?

Can,software will not void the warranty. I think really diff people carry out rules and regulation in diff way. I called up HP they say its okay if i install 3rd party hardware, even if the compatibility issue such as if 3rd party hardware contradict with the HP hardware, thn the laptop warranty remains, but only 3rd party warranty for 3rd party hardware,HP warranty for HP hardware. So they say i can go ahead upgrade, but be careful when 1st time pry the back cover plate as there is latches beside,i duno where cz i nvr open before. They tell me the laptop only support up to 1GB max only, and they do not wan to confirm can install 2gb anot as only state it might affect the perfomance of the laptop, which may be a destructive manner like contradiction. I read a post someone state that after install 2GB ram on the laptop and cant bootup after that. He tried taking the ram out and install again, some way he manage to boot it up back,so i really duno also, imagine after put in 2GB ram more trouble comes up,kenot use laptop for some time.

Hey guys and everyone,i wanna ask something here, which related to you guys also. Plz download CPUZ and run it,check the memory tab. Plz correct me if im wrong. The showed picture,my hp mini 210 is showing the ram is DDR3 type 1GB installed ram,the another is my desktop PC running DDR2 800mhz 4GB ram installed. Which means my laptop actually running DDR3 memory and it is installed DDR3 ram ? Coz im about to purchase the Corsair 2GB Gaming Ram DDR 800 soon ady,but it seems now can support DDR 3,i would think twice to get a DDR 3 ram already. plz check ur HP mini's ya. Great info to share with u guys. Coz the picture on the box and in website, they say HP mini 210 only support DDR2,Intel n450 say only support DDR2 667Mhz only, but some say HP Mini 210 is DD2 800 Mhz,which im wondering why my HP mini is DDR3 actually. The issue here is the DDR 3 slot is different than the DDR 2 slot,so it could be a concern. Thank you.

I found a website:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=29652353

it says the CPU Z is telling wrong information, anyone can help me clarify this ? Thanks. And i know the best answer is to open it up the laptop and see,but i berat hati to open up until i buy the new ram tongue.gif

Added on April 21, 2010, 10:47 pmOne advice, handle with care, the cover very easily break, esp those notches, its a plastic cover. Service people can know if u open ady anot if they found any of those notches break, lol. Its really like prying up the cover,it makes me sweat when i try to pry it and closing it cause me prob too, lol.

it supports DDR2 only. Even my old cpu runs on DDR2 shown it's DDR3 also. It's better to check the specification on the box for confirmation. =)
