in terms of spec galaxy is better.. but the interface, htc sense is one of the best and i dont think samsung ui can beat that..
and development support, HTC is always no 1 (nexus one is considered htc as well right?) |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 28 2010, 01:11 PM) There is other things good about Galaxy S, the DivX and Xvid support, 720p video recording. However, I like the Sense UI more, there is rumor HTC Desire will get 720p video recording and DivX, Xvid support in the next firmware update. I hope it is true. This post has been edited by M@M@: May 28 2010, 02:18 PM |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 28 2010, 02:22 PM) not matter how good the function is,for me samsung still samsung with expensive price and fugly UI.. this maybe subjective, but yes i agree with you, that i prefer Sense UI over TouchWiz anytime...but when comparing this two, i tend to forgot 1 thing, this is android after all...i can replace the homescreen UI right? i can either use the stock UI or get another from the market...i just drool of his processor i might not like the design (UI and phone shape) but if it's good, and of course competitively priced, it could be a good alternative to hTC desire (since i dont think i want to tie to maxis contract, i still need to wait, and the pink hue problem, it kinda more obvious than i though it would be) and by that time galaxy S could hit the market... i like the processor + GPU if it is indeed powerVR SGX540... QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 28 2010, 09:46 PM) ya..i guess u can change to vanilla android UI like how htc desire can.. software upgrade is indeed another problem, but with around 1.6GB available for apps installation (i do hope paid apps will be made available in Malaysia) should at least last until FroYo is out (if it ever makes it)...but somehow it will give slower update like htc too? OT: Gingerbread rumoured to be announced in Q4 2010, right? and when that time arrive, nexus one will be almost 1 years old, i'm wondering will google launch gingerbread with the new nexus two (or whichever name) if they decide to try with another device? |

So many people said that Samsung's UI is not that good compare to others..
Laggy here and there... But not so obvious because it also come from Android family.. If there's firmware update, I hope they fix up all of this lack.. Gingerbraid is coming to town!! This post has been edited by faridaizuddin: May 28 2010, 11:21 PM |

after watching some videos of the samsung Galaxy S, i still cant find myself to like the design and UI, so if i get it, most probably the TouchWiz will be turn off...
main reason i'm considering samsung galaxy S, is mainly due to the processor + GPU and the super AMOLED plus some extras such as wireless N, bluetooth 3.0...at least make the phone a bit future proof, well at least for a year... Quadrant benchmark found a Galaxy S benchmark from the link above, i know that Galaxy S was not among the phones benchmark, but check out the score, if Galaxy S is running 2.1 and scores much higher then nexus one pre-2.2, the hummingbird is indeed a very, very good processor... shame bout the design and UI though... most important it must be price competitively, please not let this be another X10 price range.... |
