wonder what will the price be ~~
*
I don't care what'll others said about this phone..
But Samsung is producing nice phone so far although some say it's look alike iPhone or whatever...
Hopefully when the phone is available here, the price will not be like Omnia II at first arrived which's so expensive.. nod.gif

hmmm ... Samsung is truly a good phone if UI is not a issue .
The price is
according to http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=198072

549.99 British pounds = 2 707.95 Malaysian ringgits

if you can read chinese , use google.cn to seach galaxy S price

HK phone android magazine said the price will be

8000 Hong Kong dollars = 3 279.37 Malaysian ringgits

WOW , looks like it is around 2.8 ~3.2k !!!!!

refer to the price of these 2 location , Malaysia will selling at least 2.8k already , will almost same with HK , wont be cheaper than UK ==

i think they made the video a bit fast forward to accomodate the video length
*
r u sure?? How if it's true that this phone is truly responsive??
Anyway, the phone that they tested on is not an official one.. So, expect for a great improvement through the real official model..
And don't be like X10.. At last they're using andoid 1.6 which's for now, I don't know how much "faster" than Froyo... doh.gif

For me i feel pretty disappointed.. 256mb Ram is last 2 years technology.
*
Yeah, it's true..
With 256mb RAM...
I dunno whether it'll fully support update for Froyo which's faster than Eclair.. hmm.gif

Yup, it appears their prerelease version reported the amount of RAM inaccurately and the marketed ready Galaxy S will have 512MB RAM.

So many people said that Samsung's UI is not that good compare to others..
Laggy here and there...
But not so obvious because it also come from Android family..
If there's firmware update, I hope they fix up all of this lack.. hmm.gif

QUOTE(KayK @ May 30 2010, 09:51 PM)
no  doubt it's a good phone due to the high-end spec...

but the UI and design is really iphone-ish...
- the top "circles" to indicate which homescreen you are in, yes stock android and Sense UI has it, but at least they are doing it differently...
- the four permanent shortcuts at the bottom...
- scroll from left to right, the 1st homescreen of the TouchWiz is furthest left, instead of center...
- again the top "circles" + 4-icons in the bottom + scroll from left to right in the all programs launcher = iphone "homescreen"...
- the phone design looks like iphone from far...

if it werent for the widgets.....

one thing i dont understand bout the UI, is the redundant home icon on the UI...in a video i watched, i saw a home icon on the bottom right when the reviewer is in all programs, why set a home icon there while can just hit the home button?

but i'm as disappointed with the price as much as with the design...i'm not sure bout the price in malaysia yet, but for SGD1098, the price is kinda steep and the stuff tv preview said the built quality is a bit plasticky...

i'll wait for more reviews before deciding to either get this or hTC desire (without being tied to maxis)
*
If u consider with AP set phone, go for Nexus One for now..
The Great Phone which's the only one now with Froyo!! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

the froyo still not in official release although the leaked froyo quite stable..
i just waiting for vodafone release nexus one that cheaper than htc desire..
nvr dream of samsung galaxy s before
*
So do I..
I hope anybody use this phone soon will give any feedback..
But 1 thing for sure is it's plastic body which's more than a letdown especially to match with it's price..
Vodafone released? Do u have any range of price it should be after that?
Eager to get Nexus One too!! brows.gif brows.gif
