You can even print out the AR cards bigger and make your AR characters appear bigger.



ADDENDUM: I had my apprehension when I bought Ridge Racer 3DS today, but upon playing it just now, it's as good a purchase as SSFIV3D. The 3D is subtle but effective, more so apparent if you change your car perspective to the "under the bumper" view. And once you hit NOS, watch the 3D sucks you in! Reiko Nagase intro is also in 3D as well.

Oh wow, what is the price of 3DS in Malaysia? I was in Beijing and they quote me RMB3000++. That is basically RM1.5K zzzzzz

I've started collecting Miis via QR code on the 3DS, and adding people via their Friend Codes. If there's anyone else here in Malaysia who has one, feel free to add me:- 1332-7653-0137.

I dont know if it is the same with the DS, but do Friends added via their codes will not appear until they've added you as well? Coz All I'm getting are empty profile without their Miis and I had to manually add them in. There is an option to search for friends with 3DSes nearby, but that's not gonna work until someone else has one here other than me.

CES is tomorrow,might got new 3DS niews.

Happy! My first friend on 3DS just added me on his, and his profile appears on my 3DS. Now for the rest.

Also, I've unlocked all the 6 boxes which corresponds to the 6 available AR games on the 3DS, available via the AR card. From NeoGAF, they say there are additional levels that can be unlocked, but they did not tell how to do so. So far, I've unlocked the arrow-target game(which coincidentally shows the "grave" AR ), the snooker game, the fishing game, the sketch game (which in turn, turns your sketch into 3D), the Mii posing picture taking feature, and the Nintendo character AR picture mode (that poses them, and you can turn them all on at once). Also got to level 3 on the Face-Raider/Fighting game, so far I've included my own face(), Jay Leno, Kanye West and Mr.Bean(LOL!) as the baddies in the game. Face-Raider is Warioware-quality game here with tons of minigames, and comes preinstalled with the 3DS. Thank you Nintendo!

Comparing the 2D screenshots of RR3D and when you're playing it, I notice that 3D has a very interesting effect on the image quality. Screenshot looked jagged, but in-game 3D looks a lot smoother. 3D = free antialiasing?

There are other 3D images, but they are in .mpo format, and cannot be viewed on a regular monitor, so no point posting them here. From the guys at NeoGAF, it seems like 3D camera from Fujifilm which captures photos in 3D in .mpo format are able to see them on the 3DS.

Another nice touch is the interface is icon-based that spins around in 3D. Blow into the mic, and the icon spins faster and wildly! Nice!
