I came across some China website about Monster counterfeit cables (M2000 & M1000 HDMI) selling at USD10-20 only per piece.

Ebay, lelong, and even LYN are selling it for RM150-RM180. They are making whopping RM100 per piece on fake Monster cables.

This is the website I found: http://www.gingdom.com/goods-228.html

You also can google it and you can find a lot of China factories are mass producing it.

Even now the new Dr Dre Beats Monster headphones are copied and mass produced.

You can also find a warning message on Monster official websites.

Just beware.

I see amazon is selling at USD27 also for the M2000HD. I guess Moster is also made in China and cheaper due to no shipping cost for them within China.

Just my opinion and no offence.

Bro, comparing Harvey Norman prices and other retail prices, the Monster cable sold in LYN is more likely less than 45% of or half-price i would say.

I've also encountered people selling in Mudah.my for below RM200. So are these cables fake as well?

How do you consider cables are fake? Even fake cables function as genuine rite?

I've also seen Monster cables sold in SQ at very unbelievable cut-throat price. Probably you're the best person to answer since your selling the cables for almost 60% off.

Not having a go at you alright, just concern and want to clear doubt.. whistling.gif

The Monster cables I'm getting are directly from US. It's a factory closeouts and wholesaler stocks. Absolutely genuine.

That's the reason why, I don't carry the latest Monster cable models, as it's not yet a closeouts stocks.

Monster cable in local retails are absolutely overpriced, even the same model I am carrying. Their overheads are greater as most of them operate in big shopping complex and with big workforce. I only trade online and minimal overheads. That's where I can lower down my price.

If you ask me, paying so much for fakes, might as well get al-cheapo cable for a fraction of the price, right? It's about the same quality.

The 2 models which is the high risk of counterfeits are M2000 & M1000 HDMI. I did communicate with those China wholesalers, and they admit it's high grade copy of the cables. If you order in bigger bulks, they can even lower the price more. Imagine they sell @ USD19 for M2000 HDMI cable and still make profit. So you can figure more or less their cost for each cable.

Price does not completely determine the genuinity of the cable. Just judge yourself by the seller reputation, price and past customer's records. It will give you an indication and make that decision for youself. If the seller only sell M1000/M2000 HDMI cable, then you need to becareful.

I've been trading Monster cables since 2008. You can read my customer's testimonials and number of cables on sale.
I list down all my customer's id in my threads, so that you can directly pm them for feedback.

Oh no no, i just wanted your opinion on fake cables & genuine ones, not that im accusing that you're selling the fake ones..

I know you're pioneer seller here. No doubt about that.

I just wanted your thoughts on overpriced retail price Monster items compared to those fake cables. How does people not aware that its fake?

It resembles?

To make the cable "look expensive" still cost money.. so if it look "10 time" more expensive.. its still money well spent. rclxms.gif
Also depend on the eyes of the beholder of the perception of the "10 time" more expensive look... rclxm9.gif

Basically, just beware of seller who only sells the 2 high risk cables. If the seller can get that cable so cheap, why not bring in more models, right?

I'm sure you can tell a fake from the real stuff if you look into the built and details of the cable.

But, seriously, it is almost impossible to buy a M2000HD for less than RM200.

M2000HD HDMI cable is a brand new model and it's the highest premium HDMI cable you can get from Monster.

Exactly what i am going to say until today its so hard to differentiate which is which, what if authorized seller sell u fake cable nobody knows except u come back happy with the cable without knowing whether original or fake n hapy becos u pay for big amount. Anyway my advise is to avoid Monster cable brand for the time being. I myself own 2 Monster HDMI cable, quiet happy but till today doubtful whether its original or fake. Happy with it for the time being becos hope its not fake becos of the high price i pay for n bought from authorized seller in town.
