I see amazon is selling at USD27 also for the M2000HD. I guess Moster is also made in China and cheaper due to no shipping cost for them within China.

Just my opinion and no offence.

Exactly what i am going to say until today its so hard to differentiate which is which, what if authorized seller sell u fake cable nobody knows except u come back happy with the cable without knowing whether original or fake n hapy becos u pay for big amount. Anyway my advise is to avoid Monster cable brand for the time being. I myself own 2 Monster HDMI cable, quiet happy but till today doubtful whether its original or fake. Happy with it for the time being becos hope its not fake becos of the high price i pay for n bought from authorized seller in town.

If you buy from an authorised reseller or reputable online trader (based on customer feedbacks), very high chances is you will get the real thing.

Why would one seller jeopardise their reputation and credibility for 1 or 2 fake cables?

I'm in this business for a while and I monitor closely on the happenings in the market.

Counterfeits cable cannot copy exactly the same specs and quality as the original.

They can only copy closely comestically in appearence. But inside the wire are sub standard and even may rust overtime, who knows?

With such a low cost and mass produce, you can expect very low quality cables from it.

This also applies to al-cheapo (brandless) cables.

i think we no need to worried bcoz fake cable normally you can see wit your naked eye maybe printed at
that cable easy to peel off or maybe cable finishing not so fine...
for me if they want to copy that cable wit very fine finishing maybe need to use hitech equipment and material
and it will cost very high budget ...
unless somebody from that factory sell from back door.... biggrin.gif
